I finally got all of the Christmas Cookie Plates together, and I only have one more to deliver. My little kitchen table was very full of yummy treats. We still have a few left, but they are going fast. Happy Baking everybody!

What a Long Night
Last night was one of those nights. Thade was up late and Dylan was up on the hour. I think Dylan is having teething troubles, and today I am completely wiped out. I had such high hopes of getting a few things accomplished today, but my mind is so starved for sleep, that I can’t seem to figure out what to do or where to start on all of the tasks.
There are a few good sales going on at Walgreens and Dillons this week, I bet I could find some pretty good deals on Christmas dinner supplies. I don’t know if I have the energy to go and shop though.
How I wish I could fit in a long nap 😉
All Baked Out
A Baker’s Dozen
Cookie Day is finally here! Thade is pretty excited, and me too. I can’t wait to get to baking! Today I’m baking at least 12 dozen cookies, but I’ll probably bake 14-15 dozen so we can have some for weekend snacking. I’ll be baking or no-baking:
- Coconut Macaroons
- No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies (Thade’s favorite)
- Wedding Cake Cookies
- Candy Bar Cookies (James favorite)
- Double Chocolate M&M Cookies (might be Thade’s new favorite)
I’ll be freezing the extra dough (not the macaroons though) and baking again right before Christmas. I think I need another cup of coffee to get me started.
We also have a few chores and errands to do today. So here is what else we have planned for today:
- Assemble 4 Christmas Cookie Plates to deliver tomorrow
- Pick-up new Prescription at Dr’s office
- Go to Walgreens (maybe)
- Visit Hubby at work (afternoon)
- Clean the dining room table
- Empty Upstairs Waste Baskets
- Empty Downstairs Waste Baskets
- Take out the trash, and take trash cans to the alley
Yeah I definitely need another cup of coffee, or maybe two 😉
Something Stinky
I was starting to get my appetite back this afternoon, so I went to the kitchen for a snack. I thought some Triscuits and Camembert Cheese sounded yummy. The only thing was I wanted the Camembert a little melty, so I thought I would pop the cheese and crackers in the microwave for about 15 seconds. Not a good idea! My melty snack turned into a stinky snack all too quickly. Lesson learned never ever put Camembert Cheese in the microwave unless you want to clean a stinky microwave. Oh well, they can’t all be kitchen successes 😉
