Tomorrow Just got Busier

Maybe I shouldn’t even attempt to get some rest tonight or tomorrow night, and Dylan is so grumpy (teething and weaning) that I don’t think that he will let me rest anyway. My throat is steadily feeling worse, and there is a lot to be done. Just in case I don’t make it on tomorrow, here is what I’ll be up to:

  • Surprise visit sometime during the day from my Mother in Law and Sister in Law
  • Take James Lunch
  • Go to Walgreens:for Gerber Puffs and Tissues
  • Vacuum the Living Room
  • Charge the Camera
  • Clean the Dining Room
  • Clean the Poker Table
  • Wipe Down Upstairs Toilet and Sink (I did a deep clean today)
  • Pre-cook 10 lbs Mashed Potatoes ( I cleaned them today)
  • Bake Cookies with Thade for Santa
  • Bake at least 3 dozen cookies for Christmas Snacks
  • Empty Upstairs Waste-baskets
  • Empty Downstairs Waste-baskets
  • Take out the trash, and bring trash cans to back yard
  • Wash the Upstairs Bathroom Rug
  • Figure out what I am making for Christmas breakfast

I’m tired all ready. Oh goodness I hope that Dylan will sleep through the night, and the ladies from How Clean is Your House will magically appear and help me out with all the cleaning 😉

Holiday Decorating

I’ve tried to decorate for Christmas a little bit more this year. I’ve also had a lot of fun making my own decorations from what I already have on hand. My Mom handed down her Mother’s lovely (and very breakable) cake plate to me, and I loved displaying the Christmas ornaments in it. I also used all of my glass vases that I had to make a little Peppermint and Santa Claus display. I love any holiday decorations that you can eat. For the dining room I made a Christmas Card Holder to display all of the Christmas Cards and Pictures from friends near and far.

My mom also made this adorable Christmas tree, it looks perfect on the kitchen table. She also gave me the cutest Snowman Spoon Rest, a great start to a new collection.

We also found a new Star for the Christmas tree, and cute Stockings line the stairway. Thade is hoping that Christmas will get here sooner rather than later.

Guess What I Woke Up With

Two kids that won’t sleep in past 7:30 a.m., and me with a raging case of tonsillitis. I feel like crap, and I can barely swallow. I also failed to mention that the little one is still up and nursing at least 4 times a night, so sleep is not happening to nico. My goodness this is going to be one of those days.

Just 3 Days ?!?

This morning I woke up in a bit of a panic. There are only three days left until Christmas, and my house looks like it has been torn apart by a crafty toddler. Strange 😉 I have so much to clean and only a few days to get it done. Here is what I have left to do and clean:

  • Wrap and deliver presents to Hubby’s Work
  • Clean the Kitchen
  • Clean the Dining Room!!!!
  • Clean the Upstairs Bathroom
  • Vacuum the Living Room (I’ve given up on attempting to keep it clean as it is toy central)
  • Catch up on laundry
  • Prep and pre-cook what I can for Christmas Dinner

I’m feeling the Christmas stress for sure 😉 Better get to cleaning!

The List Was Long

Today I really did not feel like going shopping for all of the Christmas necessities, but the weather is supposed to turn cold and yucky tomorrow, so today had to be the day. The boys and I made it to Walgreens and to Wal-Mart and enjoyed the 60 degree weather, while we could. I only forgot one thing at the store, Dylan’s Sweet Potato Puffs. I think my hubby is finishing up the Christmas shopping tomorrow, so I’ll have to have him pick those up. Dylan loves them, and he will be pretty grumpy if we run out of them.

I did get all of the supplies for Christmas Dinner, and 2 new Transition Sippy Cups for Dylan. He has been biting Mommy (ouch), so he may be ready to be weaned. Here is the problem: he isn’t too fond of a bottle, or even formula, so this is going to be tough.  He likes to play with his new cup, but he makes the yuckiest face if he takes a sip. What to do 😉
