Dillons Shopping Trip :)

Yesterday I took the kiddos to Dillons, I  had to stock up on the great diaper deal. I did pretty good at the sale, and saved a bundle. Here is what was on my shopping list, and the savings:

  • Kroger Sliced American Cheese $1.88 (Plus savings of $.41)
  • Kraft Shredded Cheddar Cheese $1.88 (Plus savings of $1.57)
  • Tostitos Chips on sale for $2.75
  • Dillons 2% 1/2 Gallon Milk $1.67 ( Plus savings of $.48)
  • Dillons White Bread $1.00 (Plus savings of $.45)
  • Huggies Jumbo Pull-Ups $7.99 (Plus savings of $2.30 + coupon $2.00)
  • Huggies Jumbo Pack Diapers $7.99 (Plus savings of $2.31 + coupon $1.50)

My total plus tax came to $23.50 🙂 Thats about what I would have spent locally on diapers alone. I had a total of $3.50 coupons, and $7.52 in store savings, all together it is $11.02 in savings 🙂 I was very happy about this shopping trip.  I loved it at check-out when the cashier said you saved a total of $11.02, that was worth the trip.

Breakfast Success

I’m always trying to get my picky toddler to eat more. Today we attempted Homemade Pancakes, oh yes from scratch. I was in charge of mixing the eggs, milk, and vegetable oil, and Thade was in charge of the dry ingredients. He loves to stir! He liked seeing how the batter came together, but still a little reluctant to try the pancake. I asked him to try just one bite with Maple Syrup, and he loved it! He has even requested pancakes for breakfast tomorrow 🙂
