Walgreens Deals

We went to Walgreens for a few good deals yesterday, and I found even more while I was there. Our local Walgreens had a Colgate/Palmolive sale going on, and you could save $.50 an item with a store coupon, I stocked up and saved big. Here is what I got:

  • 2 Boxes of Lucky Charms for $2.00 ea. ( I also had a $1.00 coupon, I ended up paying $1.50 a box)
  • 3 Walgreens Orange Soda for $.79 ea.
  •  Walgreens Cashews for $2.99
  • GerberPuffs 2 for $2.59 (Great Deal on these Wal-Mart has them for $1.92 ea)
  • Walgreens size 3 Diapers on sale for $6.00
  • 2 packs of Walgreens Wipes on sale for $2.00 ea
  • Walgreens Training Pants on sale for $6.00
  • Men’s  Speed Stick on sale for $2.00 ($.50 off store coupon, I paid $1.50 for this item)
  • Ladies Speed Stick on sale for $2.00 ($.50 off store coupon, I paid $1.50 for this item)
  • Softsoap Pomegranate and Mango Hand Soap (smells so good) on sale for $2.50 ($.50 off store coupon, I paid $2.00 for this item)
  • 2 Progresso Soup on sale 4 for $5.00 (I had a coupon for $.50 off 2 = final cost $1.00 each)

The Grand Total came to $36.65, with $19.08 in savings! I had $2.38 in Walgreens coupons, $13.70 in Advertised Savings, and $3.00 in Manufacturer Coupons. Great deals, and well worth the trip out.

Long Last Night

Last night went just as I thought it would. Dylan was up late, and finally fell asleep at mid-night. At 1:00 a.m., we had a loud thunderstorm roll in, and Dylan was up, and Thade woke up to at 1:30 a.m. From then on it was on the hour that Dylan was up and grumpy. Finally at 6:30 a.m. everybody was snoozing, and all of the storms had passed. I got to sleep in until 8:30 a.m., and then the day was ready to get started.

The one good thing about last night, I got to catch the season premiere of Jon & Kate plus Eight for the second time. I love that show, it is so amazing to see how Kate makes it through the day with 8 kids, she is one great Mommy! I’ll be watching every Monday.

I don’t know what we’ll be doing today, but we had better get to it soon. Snow is moving in this afternoon, and I’m not so good at driving in the snow. I already miss the 70 degree weather that we had just yesterday 😉

Tuesday’s To Do List

I know it is a little early to be posting what to do tomorrow, but I’m stuck downstairs with a little baby that has skipped two naps today, and is refusing to go to sleep tonight. I blame it on the teething 😉 Everyone else in the house is happily snoozing, and I hope to be there soon. Tomorrow looks like another day of a lot to do, and with the cooler weather moving in, I hope to get a few things finished around the house. Here is the plan for tomorrow (pending that Dylan sleeps tonight and I’m not up all night):

  • Vacuum Downstairs (Living Room, Dining Room, Foyer)
  • Sweep (Utility Room, Dining Room, Kitchen)
  • Wash ALL of the Dishes
  • Clean out the Fridge and Freezer
  • Organize the Pantry (and the little microwave cart too)
  • Clean the Microwave (what exploded in there?)
  • Empty All Upstairs Trash Cans
  • Empty All Downstairs Trash Cans
  • Take out the Trash
  • Go To Post Office
  • Clean Thade’s Living Room Table (he has quite a junk pile on it)
  • Put away 4 loads of laundry
  • Find Room for all of the Christmas Stuff (decorations, trees, wreaths)

I’m pretty sure a few things will get added to tomorrow’s list. I really need to get all of the Christmas stuff down, and put away. I don’t feel too bad about it though… Today we went downtown, and all of the City Decorations are still up 😉 I know I’ll feel like the house is a little more back to normal once that task is completed.
