Night Owls and Early Birds

I don’t know what it is about sleep, but neither of my kids like it. Thade was up off and on all through the night, and woke up promptly at 7:00 a.m. Dylan was the same, I nursed him about every three hours last night (slight improvement), and he decided that he was going to stay awake after the 6:45 a.m. feeding.

I’m trying not to get my hopes up that Dylan will sleep through the night any time soon. Thade didn’t sleep though the night until he was two, but Mommy desperately needs a solid night of sleep. Any suggestions on getting the kiddos off to dreamland and staying there for more than three hours 😉 would be greatly appreciated.

October Project Check-In

Well I have to say that I am a little bit disappointed with myself, October is almost over and I haven’t started one single project 🙁  I was going to try and accomplish:

  • Painting the Dining Room (finished before Thanksgiving)
  • Painting my Closet
  • Cleaning and Organizing the Boy’s Closet (last month’s project)
  • Cleaning and Organizing the Utility Room
  • Starting the Christmas Sewing Projects

I can’t believe the month is almost over, and I have done nothing. GRRRR! This month  also contains James birthday and our Anniversary too. I’m planning a party for his birthday on Sunday, so I am going to spend most of the week cleaning the bottom floor. This is an ongoing task, the more I clean, the more “Hurricane Thade” messes up.  I’ve got a big list, so I had better get to it 🙂

Not all of my errands were finished :(

It is still raining, and a balmy 49 degrees 😉  so I decided Wal-Mart is just going to have to wait until tomorrow. I did make it by the Post Office, visited Hubby at work, and went to Walgreens. After the Walgreens trip I thought it was too cold to have Dylan out so we headed home.

I bought a few extra items at Walgreens to get me by until I can do a big Wal-Mart run. I grabbed a 1/2 gallon of milk,  baby food ( 3 for $3.00), and rice cereal for Dylan. I was carrying Dylan in the Snugli, and at check-out Donna volunteered to help me with the groceries. She was such a sweetie, and so nice to go out in the pouring rain. I really appreciated all of the help. Continue reading »

Rainy Monday

I swear I pick the most awful time to get all of my errands done. Today it is raining and freezing outside, and we are out of all of the important necessities in the house. The shopping must be done today, I don’t know how much longer the last box of tissues is going to hold out.

Here is the plan for today:

  • Shop at Walgreens
  • Shop at Wal-Mart
  • Go to the Post Office
  • Bills and Balance Checkbook
  • Phone Calls for Hubby
  •  Empty all waste baskets (upstairs and downstairs)
  • Take out the Trash
  • Clean out the litter box (super-yuck)
  • Wash 2 loads of Laundry
  • Put away 3 loads of Laundry
  • Stock Hubby’s Office Fridge

We’ll see what I get done today. I’m going to try and stay ahead of the weather. Happy Monday to all 🙂
