I’m trying to make my grocery dollars stretch, and shopping locally to save on gas money. I keep hoping that we will get an Aldi, that would save a bunch, and I have the perfect location for them. There used to be a grocery store just a few blocks from my house, now it is just an empty building, perfect for an Aldi. A girl can dream 😉 The closest Aldi is 20 minutes away, and a good $5.00 in the gas tank.
I checked out the local IGA and saved big on Coca-Cola products last week. I purchased four 12 packs for $10.00 w/ coupon. Their prices on groceries were still a bit pricey, but the loss leaders were very competitive. They also double coupons and offer lower priced gasoline by purchasing certain sales items in the store.
How are you stretching your grocery dollars? Where are your favorite places to shop?
