Homemade Noodles

Finally a homemade recipe that turned out great! I used the recipe for Egg Noodles found at Cooks.com. The noodles are so delicious and made plenty of leftovers. This recipe was hubby approved, but not toddler approved, just yet.

I was surprised at how simple and affordable the noodles were to make. Eggs, Flour, Salt, and Water and I was paying $3.42 for the frozen, not anymore! I separated the dough into 4 sections. I then rolled the dough onto waxed paper (lightly dusted with flour) right on the kitchen table. I used a pizza cutter to cut the noodles, and I let them dry on the waxed paper as well. Busy Tuesday

Well I didn’t get everything finished yesterday, bummer. Today I have a few more errands to add to the list, and a new sewing project. My hubby is out of town for a meeting and he left me his car, so I think I’m going to take it for a few errands today. Here is the plan for today.

  • Wash and put away dishes
  • Wash 1 load of laundry
  • Put away 3 loads of laundry
  • Pump 1 bottle (vacation)
  • Get gas for Hubby’s car, maybe an oil change too
  • Work on sewing burp cloths, and laundry sorter
  • Stock freezer with yesterday’s frugal buys
  • Bills and balance checkbook
  • Today Walgreens is supposed to open, so I’m going to drive by and hope for the best Continue reading »
