One Pepper Two Peppers

This week I found a great buy at my local Supercenter-Green Bell Peppers @ $.78 each. I went on ahead and picked up two.

I used some for last nights fajitas, and got 3 batches into the freezer for future fajitas.

Another Recall

I just saw this on the news today, Mattel is going to announce another toy recall due to lead paint. I haven’t seen the list yet, but CNN is reporting that it will involve many toys including “Barbie” and ” Cars “movie toys. Great, Thade has a pretty decent collection of beloved Cars toys, I think I’m going to have a grumpy camper today.

What do you think about all of the recent toy recalls?

Don’t thow it away…

I hand wash all of the dishes, and on Mondays I like to swap out the old dish sponge for a new one. I don’t toss the old one out, just yet. I keep a cute container under the kitchen sink filled with old wash cloths and dish sponges that can be used again to clean up around the house.

The wash cloths are perfect for dusting, cleaning electronics, and scrubbing windows. The old sponges are great for cleaning around the toilet, scrubbing down the shower, or tackling any other icky cleaning jobs that I have to do.

Finished Early

I have been paying careful attention to next weeks weather, and I thought today was going to be the best day to go out and shop. It isn’t even noon yet and already it is 96 with a heat index of 103. It is just too hot! I’ll miss out on the great deals at Walgreens this week, bummer. Our local Walgreens hasn’t opened yet, double bummer.

Both of the boys did great at the store. Thade even made a buddy at the check-out. I needed to stop off for gas, but I decided to go on home. I don’t think I’m going to go out anytime soon, so I can make that little bit of gas in the car stretch a little bit further. I even stocked up on a few extras for the week, so I don’t have to get the kids out. I hope that this heat wave will be over soon.
