Dylan had his four month check-up last night, and I have to say I love visiting the Doctor in the evening. No lines, no waiting, plenty of parking, and your baby can make as much noise as he wants. He is now weighing in at 14 lbs. 1 oz., and he is 24 inches long. The Doctor gave me the o.k. to start him on rice cereal too! I’m so happy, I hope that will help him sleep through the night a little better. He had to get 4 shots, and Thade was impressed with the amount of Band-Aids that Dylan came home with. He is a little sore today, I know he will be feeling better soon.
Monthly Archives: July 2007
Man oh man it is Monday
Thade woke up extra early this morning, and Dylan soon followed. I think I clocked in about 4 hours of sleep last night, so my noggin is hurting today.
We had lots of errands to run today, and I only have one left to do Yahoo. We visited my husband at work, went to the Dollar General, ran to the post office, put gas in the car. Oh yeah, and then went to Wal-Mart (again). Dylan still has a Doctor’s appointment to go to today, it is at 6:30 p.m. Our local clinic stays open late on Mondays which is so cool. I hope it won’t be too crowded during the evening. James is going to stay home with Thade because Dylan has to get more shots. I hope that he does well, and I hope that I don’t stress out too much. I hate seeing the little one in pain. I’m also going to check with my Doctor to see if I can start Dylan on rice cereal. He is still nursing about every two hours, and mommy is worn out. We’ll see what she says.
Sunday Paper
I love getting the newspaper on Sunday. I like going through the sale ads for next week, and seeing where I can save the most on my grocery budget. The Walgreens ad and Aldi ad are two of my favorites. This week’s paper had a new sales ad to check out, it was for Dollar General. The sales look great with lots of back to school offers, and they accept coupons. They even have a mail-in rebate program. I’m going this week to get the rebate catalog, and stock up on Ajax and Palmolive dish detergent for $.85 ea., and maybe some Chips Ahoy cookies. They are on sale at 2 for $4.00, and have a rebate offer. I’ll have to get the catalog and see how much the rebate is 🙂 Oh yeah, I had better get kitty litter also… My list keeps growing and growing.

Goin’ Shopping
I usually shop on Mondays, but today Thade and I went out for groceries. James is off work and said he would take care of Dylan while we shopped. Thade had a lot of fun getting to run errands with just Mommy, and we were in and out of the store in under an hour. Yahoo!
Monday is going to be a busy day. We are having a new electrical line run, and Dylan has to go to the doctor for a check-up and shots too. I’m glad to have the shopping done early.
Here is the plan for today:
* Clean the kitchen
* Make banana muffins
* Make bread crumbs
* Make baby wipes
* Dishes
* Laundry
* Tidy up downstairs
* 3 loads of laundry
