Signs of Improvement

Thanks to everyone for the well wishes for the little guys. We had a long and messy night, but both boys are starting to do a lot better today. They even have their energy back to fight each other, and Thade’s voice has made a return too. He is keeping busy by asking me 18 million questions this morning.

I kept Thade home from school today, and Dylan is pretty mad about Thade being home, but I thought that it would be best for Thade to get in another day of rest. Both of the kids have a few days of medicine ahead of them, and Thade has to take Amoxicillin for the next 10 days. He also has some ear drops to take as needed, they are helping out immensely.

I’m going to try to keep them quiet and resting, but they are 5 and 2, so I don’t think that is going to happen. Thanks again for all of the well wishes, and big hugs to all!

Thade Isn’t Too Well Today

Now I feel like a bad Mommy today… Yesterday I had the kiddos outdoors all afternoon while I was gardening, and last night their allergies really started to act up. Thade had itchy watery eyes, and an itchy throat too, Dylan had a big cough, and was miserable. Today Thade woke up early and he wasn’t feeling well at all. Dylan still has the horrible cough too.

As the morning went on Thade looked worse and worse. His tummy was acting up, and he starting saying that his ear hurt bad. James and I decided that while he was on his lunch hour I would take Thade out to Urgent Care and he would take care of Dylan.

I took Thade, and he was just miserable. They tested him for Flu and Strep, and then the Doctor found a very bad ear infection in Thade’s right ear. The Doctor thinks that the ear infection was caused by some pretty bad allergies. Now both of the kids are going to be put on a round of meds to help Thade’s ear infection, and to prevent Dylan from getting one. Both kids need to be on allergy medicine full-time too.

I hope that Thade will be feeling back to better soon, he is crashed out on the couch right now, so you know he is sick.

Signs of Spring

I finally got the vegetable garden in yesterday. It  took me about three and a half hours to clean out last year’s garden, and get the second veggie bed started. I’ve still got to clean out two flower beds and get them planted too. If the kids allergies were better, we would be working outside today.

This year I have planted a lot of vegetables and a few fruits too. I added in Lettuce, Cauliflower, and Okra too. I would still like to start a Strawberry patch, and a little Pepper garden, and try growing some Pumpkins for Halloween. I really hope that we get plenty of produce out of the garden this year, and maybe I can take a few of the garden goodies  to the Farmer’s Market.

How is your Spring gardening going?

My Car Might Make a Return Today

Keep your fingers crossed. I heard from the shop today, and another item has been added to the much needed repair list, but my car should be back this afternoon! I hope so, I feel really bad about having to bum rides off of my hubby.

So far it is the oil pluneum that shattered thanks to a very clogged catalytic converter, and both items need replaced. I hope and pray that this will be the last of the car repairs for quite awhile, so does James. I think he has about had it with my car!

Just One Day

I really have no idea how this happened, but for the entire month of April, I only had one single no driving day. I even have a car that is in the shop, but somehow I managed to drive just about every single day out of the month, bad Nico. I had better do better in May, even with the single day in April I still have a yearly total of 18 days. We’ll see how May goes.
