The Mop Top Is Outta Here
Have I mentioned before that I really detest my hair…

Lately it has gotten out of control. It is messy and falling out, thanks to being preggers, and it does absolutely nothing. It really doesn’t have a style to it, unless you count the lazy half bun/knot on the back of my head. It is at that point where it is just too long, and it is driving me crazy, and it has to go today!!!!!
Luckily James got me an afternoon at the Courtland Day Spa for Mother’s Day. This afternoon I’ll be getting a much needed hair cut with style, and a very much needed pedicure too. I’ll also be getting an afternoon off from boyland. I can’t wait.

See ya later messiness!
April Coupon Savings
Wow, I am behind on my posts this month… I’ve finally totaled up all of my receipts for April, and I did pretty good in the coupon department. I ended up with $9.30 in coupon savings for the month, and that brings my yearly total up to $44.62! I hope that May will be another great coupon month filled with extra savings.
How are your coupon savings going?
Wonderful Wonderscope
A few weeks ago on a very rainy Monday, one of my best friends asked if I wanted to go to Kansas City. I said sure, she had a plan to take her kids to Wonderscope, and she wanted to see if we wanted to tag along. I thought it sounded like a really fun activity for the kids, and I never want to miss out on a trip to Kansas City.
We loaded up all the kiddos, 5 in all, and made our way to Wonderscope.

Wonderscope is an interactive Children’s Museum with activities for ages 6 months to 63 years old.

Wonderscope features so many fun activities for kids and I have to say we had a fun time running around Wonderscope too. There was a Space Room where you could pretend to fly a rocket ship, a water room that featured water tables for kids to play on. There is also an art room, a race tracks room, and a play room for kids 2 and under. The bigger kids loved the Lego room that was filled with Lego activities.

The overall favorite was the City Market room. There were tiny shopping carts, and a mini shopping center where you could buy groceries. There was also a garden, and greenhouse where you could pretend to grow the fruits and the veggies for the market. We stopped at the City Market room twice.
Wonderscope was so much fun, and I can’t wait to take the kids again. This was the perfect activity for a rainy Spring day!
A Change in the Menu
On Sunday I’m moving the Mother’s Day Dinner to a Mother’s Day lunch, but I’m still featuring some family favorites. I’ll be making Fried Chicken Tenders ( a rarity for me I hate to fry chicken), Corn Salad, Pasta Salad, a veggie tray, and a Dutch Apple Pie too. I’ll be working on what I can the day before so I’ll have everything ready in time for Sunday.
I also thought that since Thade’s graduation is at 6:30 p.m. on Monday I had better feed everybody dinner. I’ve got a simple menu planned for the event too. I’ll be serving BBQ Beef Sandwiches, Chips & Dip, and Chocolate No Bake Cookies. Fast, simple, and tasty.
Time to get to the store and get all the ingredients for these upcoming dinners.
