Get ready for Snow :)

I heard the dreaded words this morning, expect up to 6 inches of snow overnight. Time to go and stock up on supplies, just in case the snow hits. We have a busy day ahead of us, again.

Here is the plan for today:

  • Pick up the Christmas Pictures!!!!!
  • Go to the grocery store and stock up on de-icer
  • Deliver the cookies to our Doctor and the Hospital
  • Laundry (I have 5 loads waiting for me)
  • Dishes ( I have way too many to do)

It looks like it is going to be a ling day. I hope that the boys will be good for Mommy today, as we have so many long tasks ahead of us 😉

Frosty Day

This morning we woke up to a frosty day. The trees were covered in pretty ice, and even the outdoor decorations looked as if they were coated in icy sugar, so pretty.

I also saw something that I have never seen before, frost that looked like spun spiderwebs, it was so strange. The frost dangled off the greenery outdoors in perfectly straight lines, but if you touched it, the frost immediately melted on your fingertips.

Cookies and More Cookies

Whew, I’m a little tired after all that baking! I got a few dozen cookies made today about 9 1/2 dozen 😉 Today I baked or no-baked:

  • No-Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies (47 cookies)
  • White Chocolate Apricot Oatmeal Cookies (35 cookies)
  • White Chocolate Cranberry Cookies (32 cookies)

I thought it might be fun to keep track of how much holiday baking I’m doing. this year.  So far the cookie count is up to 114 cookies.

The Boy’s and I’ll be delivering Cookie Plates to our Doctor and the Hospital tomorrow, and I even made a small plate for our Neighbors 😉  Now I’m off for a few cookies and a glass of milk.

Today’s To Do:

My hubby is off work today! I hope that he gets to rest and relax 😉 The weather is finally improving it is going to be a balmy 40 today. We are getting out of the house today (for sure). It is looking like a very busy day, and I’m going to get about 9 dozen cookies baked somewhere in there too… Here is the plan for today:

  • Empty Upstairs Waste-baskets
  • Empty Downstairs Waste-baskets
  • Take out the trash (trash cans to alley)
  • Pick up the boy’s Christmas pictures (40 min round trip)
  • Go to Walgreens
  • BAKE COOKIES (for Dr’s office and Hospital 9 dozen): I’ll be making
    • No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal
    • White Chocolate Apricot Oatmeal
    • White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal

We’ll see what I get done today, it is going to be really busy 😉

Christmas Cookies 2007

My goodness the oven is going to be busy 🙂 I’ve totaled up all of my Christmas Cookies that I am baking for Christmas gifts, and the count is now 21 dozen! That is a lot of cookies, 252 I think 😉 I hope I can get this accomplished. It will be fun, and maybe I’ll have a few left for us too…
