Messy Business

Sometimes being a mom is a super messy job. Yesterday after Dylan refused to nurse for the 4th time I decided it was time to try a little rice cereal. Maybe he is giving me the clue that it is time for solids. I went in the kitchen and warmed up a pumped bottle, added the contents to about 2 tablespoons of rice cereal, and presented the “delicious” dish to Dylan.

Dylan was not pleased. After many failed and very messy attempts he finally took a bite that actually stayed in his mouth. He kicked his feet with excitement, and this little one has pretty good aim. He kicked the bowl right out of my hand and sent the rice cereal/ mommy milk mixture all over Mommy.  Lovely, and a bit icky. I finished feeding Dylan what was left in the bowl, got him in a new outfit, and grabbed a change of clothes for me 😉  Time to find a raincoat and attempt another solid feeding today.

October Projects

Well last month I didn’t finish as many projects as I had hoped. I’m moving a few of them to October’s Project List, and I have a few new ones to add too. Time to get to work Nico 🙂

  • Paint the Dining Room!!! Get prepared for the Holiday Entertaining Season!
  • Paint my Closet
  • Clean and organize the Boy’s Closet
  • Clean and organize the Utility Room
  • Start my Christmas sewing projects

I’ve got an entire month to get my projects done. Don’t forget to  check back in and see how I’m doing 😉

Catch-Up Tuesday

I was only gone two days and the housework is piling up. It seems like everyday I get a little more behind, and a little more gets added to the list. I hope to get these tasks accomplished today:

  • I have got to tackle the dishes in the kitchen
  • The laundry all piled up in the Utility Room
  • I need to empty all of the wastebaskets and take out the trash
  • Stock hubby’s office fridge
  • Get gas and a little spending money for James
  • Put away 4 loads of laundry

What a Crazy Weekend!

We are back from the races, and I’ll have my pictures up soon. James and I had a great time and enjoyed the peace and quiet of 40+ roaring engines. Both of the races were so exciting.

At the Bush Race I got a little sun burned, well more like a lot of sun burned. I was hoping one of my favorite drivers Matt Kenseth would get the win, he finished a close 2nd. Kyle Busch took the win, with a very very very close finish.

The Nextel Cup race had 2 rain delays and some pretty severe storms. It was also freezing, but that didn’t keep us from watching the finish. Kevin Harvick took the lead after the second rain delay, so James was super happy about that! The race was called early and Greg Biffle took the win.

We can’t wait to go again next year. Next time I think I need to find a stronger sun-block 😉
