Nico a Morning Person?

Something strange happened this morning, I was awake before my hubby. I was up and nursing Dylan at 6:00 a.m., and then I didn’t go back to sleep. Usually I try to sleep for one more hour, and then drag myself downstairs for a cup of coffee.

This morning I’m all ready to go, and I just turned on the coffee-maker. Uh-oh is Nico the all day sleeper turning in to a  “Morning Person”!?!

Walgreens Opens!

I am a huge Walgreens fan, and today our local store finally opened! I couldn’t wait, the boys and I went shopping this morning. I went a little over budget 😉  I ran in to some great deals, I found toddler training toothpaste 2 for $3.99, and Milk was $1.00 cheaper than the local grocers. The toothpaste was a bargain I could not pass up. Thade also got a new toy, he has been helping with Dylan and doing extra chores around the house.

We took our time and walked the entire store. The store was very well stocked, and surprisingly not too busy. Everyone was nice and helpful, and encouraged the use of coupons 😉 The pharmacy looked great too, and no giant line to wait in. I’m switching over my prescriptions to Walgreens. I think I’m going to save a lot of time and money shopping my local Walgreens.

I’m also happy to see new business in our little town, and one more place to compete for my shopping dollar. Now if we can just get an Aldi and Arby’s we’ll be all set.

The Moth

This has been an interesting week for bugs. We had a cave-cricket invade the living room ( I grabbed a tissue and set it free outside), and a really cool praying mantis on the front steps, but Thade wasn’t a fan of either one. Last night we had an unexpected visitor in the boy’s room. A little brown moth found its way in and Thade was not happy about it. I went in the room and found him screaming “MOP” and frantically pointing at the ceiling. It was just a little moth, not that big of a deal. Thade was a little worried about the moth getting too close, and possibly biting him. Thade then said “get a tissue and get it out of here.” Continue reading »

September 2007 Savings

Dylan is taking a quick nap, so I finally have a minute to catch up on my coupon savings. During the month of September I saved  $19.20 🙂  That brings my Feb.-Sept. total to $237.29! Let’s see how I do this month.

Late Night in Babyland

My poor little son Dylan is teething, and it is driving him batty. I took the boys out yesterday for groceries, our favorite greeter took one look at Dylan and said ” he looks like he’s chewing bubble gum”. Poor Dylan was grinding his little jaw back and forth to ease the pain. I quickly ran over to the pharmacy and picked up two bottles of Baby Tylenol. I thought I should have one on hand for upstairs and one for downstairs too. Continue reading »
