Check-Up Today

Dylan has his sixth month check-up today, and he also has to get four shots. I’m also taking Thade along too. I’m a little worried about how he will act seeing his little brother get all of those shots.  The weather is also going to turn nasty today, with severe thunderstorms and the possibility of hail. It is going to be a long day, wish me and the boys luck.

Get Ready for Cooler Weather

Last night it got pretty cold, so I had to turn on the heater this morning. My stomach turned at the very thought of those gigantic gas bills from last year. Today I’m doing some little projects around the house to try and beat the huge gas bill.

I started off by grabbing 2 large rugs that we were storing upstairs, and I brought them downstairs to keep the hardwood floors warm. My hubby and I go back and forth on the subject of carpeting the hardwood, I hope the rugs will work for now. The rugs also became the cat-wrestling arena, they have been battling each other all day. Shopping Trip Buys

bumbo-1.JPGWe had such a fun time going shopping on Sunday, and I came home with some pretty great finds too. Our first stop was Toys R Us, I figured it would be best to get that over and done with. My mom and I braved the crowds and took the boys shopping for toys. We were searching for a Bumbo Chair for Dylan. Luckily we found one, and a tray that attaches to the seat. If you have a little one who isn’t sitting on their own just yet, this is an absolute must have. Dylan loves his new seat, and he is having a blast playing with his toys on the tray. I’m so happy with this find, it is giving mommy a little peace and quiet too.

Shopping with a Snugli

Whenever we go out I carry Dylan in a Snugli, and Thade rides in the cart. I often get strange looks and odd comments when someone sees the little guy in the carrier. At least every trip to the store is interesting.

Yesterday we were shopping at Target. My mom and Thade were looking at toys, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to head over to the baby section. I was carrying Dylan in the Snugli, and he was happy as could be. We went to the baby wipe/baby wash isle and I looked at the shelves for some good deals. I noticed a young couple looking at the wipes, and then staring back at me, whispering back and forth to each other. Just then the young man said “Just ask her, she is wearing a baby.” I tried my hardest not to laugh, but that totally cracked me up. Continue reading »

Shopping Trip

I woke up extra early this morning, got my shower, and the coffee is brewing as I’m typing. Both of the boys are still sleeping away, and so is my hubby. I’m trying to get a plan together for all of the things that I need to get purchased and accomplished today. I’ve got my bags packed, and I  have a few chores to get finished before we can go.

I wish that I was finishing my Christmas shopping today, but I don’t think that is going to happen. Today I must find an anniversary gift for my husband, and a few birthday gifts too. Thade already has a gift in mind for Dad’s Birthday, but I don’t know what Dylan will pick out 🙂 Look out Target here we come!

My mom is also going to take us out to lunch today to Panera Bread my very favorite place to eat. I’m ready to go now, the soup in a sour dough bread bowl is calling my name.
