Lazy Days

This week I made my “to do” list early on Sunday, and so far I haven’t “to done” too much of it… The weather has turned chilly fast, and I haven’t been feeling like getting up and going.

I kinda resemble our house-cat at the moment. Oh if I could slumber away the cold days just like that big guy.

Tomorrow the boys are out of school, so I am going to try to get the dishes caught up, and ten loads of laundry put away. Maybe I’ll get my energy back next week.

Good Reports All Around

This week is a short week for the kiddos. They are out of school on Friday due to parent-teacher conferences. I look forward to parent-teacher conference week. I enjoy catching up with the boy’s teachers, and see what areas we need to work on too.

Monday it was Dylan’s conference. I had all three kids tagging along too, but that meant we could stop off at the fantastic school playground. Dylan’s teacher is so kind, and Dylan is doing very well in the First grade. His reading in greatly improving, and he is in the highest reading small group. I’m so proud of my little guy.

Tuesday it was Thade’s turn. This time James was off work, so the kiddos could stay home with Dad. Thade’s teacher, and student-teacher are so fantastic. He is excelling at math, and reading too. I am so proud of my big kid.

Both boys received all A’s, and kind compliments from their teachers too. I’m so proud of my big kids.

Birthday Planning

It is almost time for someone’s birthday!

Miss Agnes is turning four on Sunday.

I can’t believe that she is already turning four. I’ve got lots to do before the birthday party, and lots to cook too. We’ll have family over for cake and ice cream, and watch some Packers Football too. She is a little excited for her birthday to get here. Hurry up Sunday!

A Year Of Crochet

Last October I picked up a scarf kit, and slowly taught myself to crochet. It wasn’t too pretty at first, but I kept at it.

My first project wasn’t the best. After that very first scarf, I was hooked on crochet…

I worked on lots of little projects.

I also tried making a few larger projects.

I think about six months in, I was starting to get the hang of it.

It has been a fun, and relaxing hobby to learn.

I hope to keep it up for many years to come.

Yarn Run

I’ve been making lots and lots of hexagons and granny-squares for a few projects (maybe Christmas presents), and my yarn stash was getting a little low.

My super-sweet hubby told me to visit the yarn section, while he and the kiddos checked out the lawn and garden department.

I found lots of pretty colors, and I got my craft table re-stocked and ready to crochet.
