New Week: Feeling Better

Maybe I’m just optimistic on Monday’s, but I love the start of a new week. Last week was challenging, the kids had colds, and so did I. It seemed to be a throw-away week where I just couldn’t get ahead.

This week the kids are feeling better, and so am I. Agnes and I got at it early today, and we finished all of the weekly errands this morning. I’ve got the house stocked back up, and I’m almost caught up with all of the dishes from the weekend too.

I’ll be making laundry powder, and putting away all of the laundry from last week. I’ll be baking a lot this week too. I always look forward to that though.

I can’t believe that tomorrow is October, seriously September flew by way too fast. Well I had better get back to it. Happy Monday to you!

Ready For The Weekend

Dylan is feeling better, and he was able to go back to school today. Thank goodness for it too. He was really sad that he missed school yesterday. Agnes is doing better too, and she is back to bouncing off the walls. Thade is over the cold too, and all caught back up at school.

I am so far behind it isn’t even funny. The laundry is piled up, and the kitchen is a mess. Oh goodness this week has gotten away from me. I am so ready for the weekend to get here.

One More Under The Weather

Last night Dylan ran a fever, and he has come down with the cold/flu/yuckiness. I kept him home from school today, and I hope he is feeling better tomorrow. This cold/flu/yuckiness seems to be over pretty quickly, but those fevers are miserable.

Dylan really misses school. He was so upset when I told him that he wouldn’t be able to go this morning. He hopes to be back tomorrow. I hope he is too, it is no fun seeing my little guy not feeling too good.

City-Wide Yard Sale Finds

Last weekend was the semi-annual city wide yard sale, and I couldn’t wait to go. My Mother in law was in town too, so we started  Friday morning scouting out sales, and scoring some deals. One fantastic  indoor sale was packed with great finds. I came home with adorable kids clothes and shoes for Agnes. I also found some vintage books that I couldn’t pass up. Agnes spotted a toy that she wanted, and it was right on budget.

We picked up several bags of goodies, and only spent $11.00!

Saturday we headed out early, and spent several hours treasure hunting. James was off work, so he did the driving, and I did the scouting. We found lots of great sales, and I picked up so many goodies…

I might have found too many treasures. I had the back of the van completely stuffed…

We had so much fun though. I love to go to yard sales. I met some sweet people, got some big hugs, great deals, and even a few freebies too.

I spent Saturday afternoon cleaning up all of the treasures. I rearranged the kitchen, and got everything put up and away too.

I just love the “new” thrifty finds.

Tuesday: A Day Behind Already

One is well, and well the other one is not. Thade is back to school today, and feeling so much better. Agnes is still miserable. We made it to the store this morning to restock the house, and then she threw a gigantic tantrum when we got back home. It has been a long, and loud morning.

My stick-vac also went kaput yesterday, so I’m looking for a new one. My last one didn’t make it through a year. I hope we can find something quick, the living-room is quite a mess.

I should probably get back to it. Off to the kitchen I go.
