Last weekend we switched up the color of the upstairs hallway. It was a pretty cafe latte, and we painted it modern grey.
It didn’t take too long to paint, but the prepping and taping took me a bit. I would love to paint all of the woodwork upstairs, but that will have to wait until cooler months. It is crazy hot upstairs in the Summer.
We used Sherwin Williams Modern Grey, and the color made the hallway nice and bright. It also gave the upstairs hallway a new modern look. I think we need some cool artwork for the walls, and we’ll be all set.
We still have the boy’s room to paint upstairs and the bathroom too. Agnes wants to repaint her room purple. We’ll see what project we get to next.
During the weekend I had a plan to catch up on all of the dishes, and do some baking too. I was going to make a pumpkin pie for Sunday’s dinner, and a few more goodies to have on hand for weekly snacks. Dinner was in the crock pot, and the rolls were in the oven. With just two minutes to go, the oven started beeping and buzzing, and flashing F1 F1 F1, and well it died…
I’ve re-planned the menu, because I’m waiting on the Labor Day sales to find a new oven. The stove is still working, but I just can’t bake. Thade isn’t too happy about it, he loves baked goods. I think it will be a fun cooking challenge though, and maybe the kitchen will stay a little cooler too.
Here’s hoping that we find some good deals this weekend…
At last count I have four crochet projects going on at once. Some I have been working on longer than others, and one I just started.
I’ve made lots and lots of granny-squares this Summer.
I’ve made over one hundred hexagons too.
I really need to finish this granny-square blanket for Agnes…
I’ve started making a blanket for our bed too. I hope to have this one finished by Winter.
I hope to make a yarn run soon, and restock so I can make some more granny-squares, and hexagons too.
This week we had a surprise visit from Nana! We girls got to hang out a bit before the boys were home from school. We were so excited to see her. She brought me a few half-birthday goodies too. I just love her!
She brought me lots of vintage cuteness! There was a cool Fire King casserole dish, and some Pyrex too. The kids liked the egg-beater, they had never seen one quite like that before.
They look super cute in the kitchen too. Thanks again Mom!
