Settling In

This week has been nice…

We’ve been staying close to home and catching up on chores and crafts. The quiet days have been nice. Agnes really misses the boys while they are at school though…

This Week’s Cleaning List

I’m back to my list-making. I was folding laundry last night, and I had a thought of what I wanted to tackle this week. I grabbed my notepad, and here is what I hope to get accomplished this week.

  1. Boy’s Room!!!!! This room is in need of a major overhaul
  2. Bin on my desk
  3. Microwave cart drawer
  4. Junk drawer in kitchen
  5. Storage under the kitchen sink
  6. Under the sink upstairs bathroom storage
  7. Nicole’s bathroom shelf
  8. Thade’s closet ( I tackled this chore the first thing this morning)
  9. Upper kitchen shelving

Bonus Cleaning Tasks

  • Craft cabinet
  • Small 2 shelves in the kitchen
  • Nicole’s car
  • Top of the craft cabinet

I’m also trying to use what I have on hand to organize kept items. I’ve been working on the boy’s room so far this morning, and I’m  about two hours in to the deep clean. I’m already tired…

End Of Summer Cleaning

This week is the first full week that the boys are back to school. I’m spending the week tiding up our house. I’ll be cleaning out drawers, organizing toy bins, and catching up on dishes and laundry too. The boy’s room needs a lot of work, I’ll probably be in there for most of the week.

Time to get to cleaning.

The Last Day of Summer Break

I let the boys sleep in this morning. I was supposed to wake them up extra early, but I thought let them sleep late one more day. Tomorrow is the first day of school, and I’m not quite ready. It has been a long Summer, the kids have had their good days and their bad, and so have I. I will miss my boys though, they keep the days busy, and Agnes will miss them like crazy too.

Tonight we have open house at both schools. We’ll meet the teachers, and hopefully the boys will have a few friends in their classes. We’ll take along the supplies for the teachers too. I hope I remember to ask a few questions about snacks, and any new changes at the schools.

Today we’ll hang out around the house. The boys will probably play video games all day, and they will get a bit pouty when it is time to go to open house. They are excited about school, but not quite ready just yet. Just like me…
