Second Snow Day

The thunder-sleet moved in early yesterday morning, and it left us a lot of ice. We also had a snow day from school too. The kids were really excited about it, and I was happy that we didn’t have to venture out in the bad weather.

We picked up a bit more snow through the evening, so today school was cancelled again. The kids were so excited, and everybody got to sleep in a bit this morning.

The little ones have been playing, screaming, and running around the house.

I’ve had a migraine for the last two days, so that hasn’t been fun at all.

I’m hoping to get Dylan’s afghan finished this weekend.

Thanks to the snowy weather I have a pretty good start on Thade’s too.

It has been a fun, long-weekend so far, but I’m ready for some Spring weather to get here.

Will There Be Snow

It looks like the latest Winter storm just might hit us. I’ve got the house stocked-up, and extra sand bags in the cars too, just in case. I hope the weather isn’t too bad, but it would be nice to have everyone home for an early long weekend.

I’m going to make a few dozen cookies, and some banana muffins just in case the kiddos are home from school for the next few days. We’ll see what happens. Hope you stay warm, and the Winter weather is kind to you too.

No School Today

The kids are out of school today due to an in-service day. They are pretty happy about it, and so am I.

We are lounging around the house this morning, but this afternoon we have to go out for a bit.

The big kitty isn’t doing so good, so we are taking him to the vet. to get checked out. The kids are already worried that he will have to get a shot, and maybe have to stay. I hope all goes well.

Like, Really A Grown-Up

Yep, today I’m 33.

A few weeks ago I took the little ones out to run errands. When we are out, Dylan loves to talk. As long as I’m driving, he’ll talk, and he asks a lot of interesting questions, and he always has a pretty profound statement or two.

So, Dylan was asking about my birthday…

He asked how old I was going to be?

I told him thirty-three.

Thirty-three?!? He said, whoa.

Yep, thirty-three.

So he said, you’re like really a grown-up now.

Yep, I really am a real grown-up now.
