This Week…

This has been a long week. James has been in TN, and the boys have been sick. We celebrated Thade’s birthday, and the next day he came down with a cold. Dylan is back to school, but after a few sick days, he hasn’t wanted to go. It has been a bit of a struggle in the mornings.

We’ve been keeping close to home. Watching some movies, and enjoying some treats too. The boys haven’t been too hungry with this cold. I really hope my little guys get better soon.

I’m so ready for James to get home, and for the weekend to get here too. Hopefully next week will go a bit better.

Party-time

We celebrated Thade’s birthday a little early this year.

I started working on the birthday treats on Friday while Thade was at school.

He wanted Sonic the hedgehog blue cupcakes, and Whoopie Pies with blue frosting too.

We had the party on Saturday, and Thade was so excited.

He had several of his friends over for the afternoon to play video games, and hang out for a bit too.

It was a fun afternoon.

Tomorrow is Thade’s actual birthday, so I had better make him one more cake.

Thanks again to everyone for celebrating with us.

Finally Finished!

I have been working on my very first crocheted afghan for nine weeks. I finally finished it yesterday.

I had a few more rows to crochet, and I needed to tie off all of the strings too.

It took me a few hours to finish all of the little work.

It turned out great, and I’m already working on another one.

The next one is for Dylan, but Thade and Agnes are asking for one too. So, we’ll see if I get the next crochet project finished in nine weeks or so.

I Found It

I have been searching everywhere for one single skein of boysenberry yarn. I really want to finish the afghan that I’ve been working on.

While we were in Joplin I made a stop at every store that carries yarn. By stop #4, I still hadn’t found it.

On the way to OK I asked James to stop off at the 7th street Wal-Mart so I could check just one more place, and there it was. An entire big bin full of boysenberry yarn.

Yay! I can finally finish this project.
