The 2012 Tractor Parade

A few weeks ago we went to one of our very favorite autumn traditions. We took the kiddos to the Pioneer Harvest Fiesta Parade.

The kids were ready for the parade to begin. We got there plenty early, so we could find a good spot.

We found a great spot.

Pretty soon it was time for the parade to begin.

There were lots of tractors.

Lots and lots of tractors.

The Trolley was there too.

There were small tractors.

There were red tractors.

There were green tractors too.

We even spotted a yellow-orange tractor too.

There were some really cool cars.

We saw several marching bands.

This red, white, and blue one was pretty cool too.

It was an awesome parade!

The kiddos got a ton of candy too…

Second Spring

It is finally starting to feel more like Fall, it has really felt like Spring though. The trees have re-budded, the flowers have re-bloomed, and the plants have started to sprout again…

The grass has greened up in the park.

My strawberry plants are growing and blossoming.

We’ve had cute mushrooms pop up in the yard.

We’ve had crazy storms that are more Spring-like than autumnal.

I was surprised to see the Lilac bushes re-bloom. I love those sweet blossoms.

We’ve seen summery sky-lines.

We’ve enjoyed lots of sunny afternoons.

The greenery downtown looks lovely.

It looks like a pretty Spring scene to me.

The roses are in bloom too.

These sunny marigold blooms are too cute.

We found some purple cone-flowers too. You usually see these all over in the Spring.

I like these little purple petunias too.

I hope this friendly weather sticks around for just a bit longer.

Around Town

I’ve been out an about snapping photos of a few spots around town.

I’m ready for the leaves to start changing, so we can take a few more pictures.

Sick Day

What a weekend… Our heater is on the fritz, the plumbing is acting up, and no one is feeling too well… I’m keeping the kiddos home from school today, and I hope this tummy-bug is out of here tomorrow. Let’s also hope that the heater-guy, and plumber can stop by too. It looks like it is going to be another long day over here.

Happy Monday!

September’s Tasty Treats

I was busy in the kitchen all September…

I wasn’t feeling too good at the start of the month. I was getting a cold, so I made some homemade soup.

I got to make a Donut run for my hubby’s office. I love to visit the local donut shop.

Later in the month, I had a cookie catering gig. I made lots of cookies and brownies.

The kids have been super hungry when they get home from school. They have been eating everything in the house. I made up some Whoopie Pies for after-school snacks, and lunch-box treats too.

I need to make these more often.

I made homemade pizza too. This is always a family favorite.

I made a few cherry pies too. I like mine warm out of the oven with vanilla ice cream.

I made several batches of brownies in September too. This batch I baked in a few different pans to see which one everyone liked the best. They like the rectangle ones, I liked the mini-muffin sized ones.

The cherry pie didn’t last too long…

I made some Chocolate Chip cookies too, some went to my hubby and his co-workers, and some were for home.

To celebrate the arrival of Fall, I made a pumpkin pie.

Man, I love Pumpkin Pie.

So does Dylan.

I also made a Peach Pie. It is one of my favorites.

Thade had a buddy over to play, so I made some cookies for the kiddos.

One Saturday I baked all day. A few loaves of bread, some cookies, and another cherry pie too.

James and I had the cherry pie for a late night snack. So good.
