It’s Monday and silly me wanted out of town for the morning. I made it to Nevada, and my van red lined. We’re stuck here for a bit. OMG what a day already.

So Alike Sometimes
My Mom said to me once, I know they are all siblings, but each of them are the exact opposite of the other one.

It’s true.

They are alike in so many ways, but completely different at the same time.

I’ll capture an image where I think one looks like the other…

Similar, but different still.

Agnes took these…

It is hard to tell if she is smiling at Thade, or if he is mimicking her smile.

So alike, but so different…

Little personalities all their own.

Each their very unique own…
Back In Bloom
My Hibiscus bush was looking a little sad, it had dropped many leaves, and it wasn’t blooming. I decided to move it to a different area in the garden, and it must have done the trick.
This morning I walked out to find the Hibiscus back in full bloom.

The beautiful red blooms are bursting with color, and there are even little buds popping up everywhere.

I’m so happy the Hibiscus is back to it’s blooming beauty.

I just can’t get enough of those bright red blossoms.

First Crop

On the Fourth of July I picked out first decent crop of Green beans. They made a super tasty side to Panko Chicken. We are still picking snow peas from the garden, and a bit of broccoli here and there. The acorn squash and corn are looking good, and today we spotted two tiny watermelons too. I’m hoping for a good rain shower so the garden keeps on growing.
Let The Fireworks Begin
Agnes wasn’t happy about it, not one little bit…

Thade couldn’t wait!

Dylan wasn’t too sure if he would like the fireworks or not…

We were all waiting for dusk, for the temp to drop a bit, and for the fireworks show that Dad was going to put on.

Thade got started with some Morning Glories.

Dylan put on his headphones, just in case the fireworks were too loud.

After a bit Dylan got curious, and decided to hold a sparkler too.

Thade was a pro. That little guy had an awesome time this year, and he discovered his love for lighting fireworks. He is already ready for the next 4th of July, he has big plans for next year.

Finally the sun went down for the night, so we grabbed a blanket to put on the front lawn.

Dylan and I set in to watch the firework show that Dad and Thade were putting on.

It was an awesome display!

What a fantastic 4th of July.
