It’s been a week after my c-section, and I’m really trying my best to take it easy, but it’s driving me crazy. I like to stay busy around the house, and this not being able to lift more than 10 pounds is getting tricky… I’m limiting my laundry washing to just 1 load a day, and usually in the evening the kiddos will let me fold at least that 1 load of laundry.
The MOPS moms have been really great to my family, and have supplied a ton of homemade meals and sweet treats too. I might never cook again. We are really appreciative of all of the meals, and I’ve enjoyed the break from the kitchen.
I’ve taken the kiddos out a few times to Walgreens and Dollar General too. It is still a bit of a mess getting everyone into the car, and into the store, but I’m sure we’ll get it all worked out sooner than later.
Mornings are hectic around here. There is always a mad dash to get everyone bundled up, and out the door, so Thade can be at school on time. By the time we are home though, Agnes is tired, so she chills out for most of the morning. Dylan and I catch up on dishes and cleaning while she naps. We are falling into a good routine, and if I could just get a little more sleep in there, I’d be all set.
