Surprises in the Garden

Yesterday I was outside for most of the afternoon planting more seeds in the butterfly gardens. I finished up one fence row, and I moved on to start weeding the flower beds by the veggie garden. I was determined to get at least one of the beds planted, so just maybe I’ll get some good bugs to eat those bad ones. I was busy pulling weeds, and not paying too much attention, when I felt something big brush my hand. Immediately I thought it was a spider, and I jumped a bit and looked down to see a little brown toad.

I’m not certain that it is Spencer our beloved toad from last Summer, but this one looks awful close. Thade and Dylan shrieked with excitement when they saw the little toad, and they even got brave and pet him. I had to pick him up and give him a little pet on the sides, he is just to darn cute. I hope that he’ll stick around and take care of some of those bugs in the backyard.

The Toilet Paper Math

Yesterday I needed to restock paper goods around the house. Well we really needed about a case of Kleenex (allergies) and we were running low on Toilet Paper too. I like to shop Dollar General for paper products, they seem to have the best price, and great customer service too, so win win. We headed to Dollar General first, and then we would go to Wal-Mart for the rest of the groceries.

At Dollar General I picked up 5 boxes of Kleenexes at just $1.00 each, and I’m already running low again. Yesterday wasn’t a good day for our household’s noses. I also spotted Angel Soft 24 pack Toilet Paper for just $6.50, I thought that sounded like a pretty good deal to me. I could easily stock both bathrooms with this purchase. I happily checked out, and then we were off to Wal-Mart.

I decided to stroll down the paper goods aisle at Wal-Mart and see if I made the best purchase, and that was when I noticed that their Angel Soft 4 packs were on sale for $1.00 each. After doing the toilet paper math,  I should have grabbed 6 of the 4 packs on sale and saved an itty bit, oh well.

Preschool Field Trip

Thade has been waiting for this day for quite awhile, today he was going to go and ride a school bus for the very first time. He was up extra early and ready to go, Dylan was ready to go too, he loves school days. We took  Thade to school, and his teacher asked if we had any plans for this morning… She needed volunteers for the field trip, and I was thrilled that we were going to go get to tag along.

Dylan was so excited that he got to spend the morning at preschool with all of the big kids. When it was time to get on the bus, the kids couldn’t wait. We were going to visit a Nursing Home to sing songs to the residents, and then to the park to feed the rabbits and see the wildlife exhibit.

The kids were so cute, and very well behaved. We all had a fun morning, and I was really happy that I got to go along too.

160

On Friday I had a check-up scheduled, and James had the day off work. It was my 16 week check-up, and we were going to see if we could hear the heartbeat, James decided that he had better tag along too. All my boy’s made it to the visit, and I think all three of them were just as excited as I was to hear that super-fast little heartbeat.

Our Doctor told us that a steady 160 was what she could hear, and that really made me think pink. The boy’s heartbeats were around 130-140, but we have to wait until the end of June to find out for sure. My Doctor (love her) is thinking pink too.

The little guys were really good at the appointment, and our Doctor asked if it was alright if they could have candy and a sticker… How could we say no?!? It was a lot of fun having the boy’s around, and I’ve got a bit more lab work to be done this month, but I don’t think they will want to go to that one.
