So Much Better
I’m going a little stir crazy, and I’ve been on a cleaning rampage in the Living Room today. The toys and clutter were just too much, and some major cleaning had to be done! I’ve just taken out my third trash bag full of junk, and I’m feeling much better about the room as a whole π
The bookshelves have been rearranged with Thade’s toys on the higher shelves, and Dylan’s toys in the bins below. The toy organizer is organized (finally), with Thade’s big boy toys in the red dividers, and Dylan’s plushes in the box. Everything that is at Dylan’s level is baby-proofed, and safe for him to play with too.
Even the play pen was reorganized and de-cluttered π I think Dylan will have more fun playing now that there is less clutter.
There is still (and will always be) a lot to do, but it is a good start on the road to a clutter free downstairs Living Room. I know the entire family will enjoy the space more!

Oatmeal for Breakfast
Last night at bed-time Thade said that he would like to try Oatmeal for Breakfast. I thought great, a healthy inexpensive breakfast, and Thade is wanting to try a new food, this is good:)
Early thisΒ morning we were in the kitchen prepping the breakfast, I was in charge of the stove, and Thade stirred the uncooked Oats in his Spiderman bowl. When the water was boiling, he happily handed over the stirred oats. After about a minute of me stirring and breakfast was ready. I waited a little bit for the Oatmeal to cool, and presented the yummy bowl of Brown Sugar Oatmeal. Thade looked at the bowl rather oddly, and poked at the Oatmeal with his Spiderman spoon. He said “this is Oatmeal, I like it better in cookies”.
He did try one bite, and then asked for cereal instead. At least he tried, and I got to eat the Brown Sugar Oatmeal in the Spiderman bowl for my breakfast, it was pretty tasty π
Almost Finished
I’m finally all caught up on the dishes! I also only have 2 loads of laundry left to go, and I’m all caught up there too. The Living Room toys are another story, it is a little hard to organize while your toddler digs out everything as you are picking up. The toys and clutter are driving me crazy, I need to get the room cleaned up and in order soon. I might have to sneak downstairs late, or wake up extra early to get the cleaning job done.
This afternoon I plan on baking a batch of Banana Muffins some for the freezer and some for snacks. My Hubby has offered to go and pick up Subway for dinner, I think I might just take him up on the offer, no need to dirty up more dishes today π
