New Haircut

One of my Walgreens purchases was a 17 piece Conair home haircutting system(clippers). I bought it for $14.49, and it was well worth every penny.

About a year ago we took Thade to a hair stylist for his first hair cut, and he was so scared. He kicked and screamed throughout the entire haircut, so I decided to start cutting his hair at home. I’m not so handy with scissors over comb, so I thought a clipper would be a good investment.

The Conair clipper was so easy to use, and barely made any noise, which is helpful with a squirmy nervous toddler. Thade was a little leery about the clippers at first, but was soon content, and happy to be rid of his shaggy hair. I really enjoyed using the clippers, and all of the attachments too. I highly recommend this system. His haircut turned out great, and Mommy saved some money too!

To Do List Today

Yesterday I got to Walgreens, (finally) I’ll be posting my savings soon. The city is back working on our alley, so I bet at any minute the water will be shut off again for repairs. I’m scrambling around to get the dishes done quickly. Here is the plan for today:

*Wash and put away clean dishes
*Put away 3 loads of laundry
*Homemaker’s Journal cleaning for today: Back yard and porch (weather permitting)
*Empty wastebaskets upstairs
*Clean the litter box (yuck)
*Take out the trash
*Schedule appointments for hubby
*Bills and balance checkbook (yuck again)

Last night was a long night, Dylan was up late and Thade was up at 1:00 a.m. complaining. Dylan was wide awake at 6:00 a.m., so the morning is starting earlier and earlier. Thade skipped his nap yesterday too, I’m hoping that he’ll take one today. Mommy needs a break.

Another early morning

I’m really trying my hardest to become a morning person, per hubby’s request. This morning I am so sleepy, I’m trying my hardest to get going, I wish I could have a cup of coffee. The boys are both still asleep, so I decided to bake some chocolate-berry muffins, and see if I can get Mr.Picky (Thade) to try one. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

Here is the plan for today:

*Put away 3 loads of laundry
*Wash and fold 3 loads of laundry
*Wash and put away clean dishes
*Brown and freeze 5 lbs of ground beef (didn’t get done yesterday)
*Empty upstairs waste baskets
*Take out the trash
*Focus cleaning: Front and side yard (pick up trash weather permitting)

The weather looks like it is going to be nasty today, so we might be stuck indoors. If I can’t clean up outdoors, I’ll clean inside instead. I have lots of little piles of things that I know that I can get rid of.

To Do List Today

Monday all ready. I have decided that Monday is shopping day. I’m going to get it over and done with as soon as possible. Today I have to pick up a little something extra, a Father’s Day gift for James. The boys already have their gift for Daddy, I helped them shop just a little. So here is the to do list for today:

*Go shopping and put away all of the groceries
*Clean out the fridge
*Take out the trash
*Put away 3 loads of laundry
*Make a list for Walgreens (to be done later in the week)
*For the freezer-brown 5lbs ground beef, make bread crumbs, make Turkey stock
*Clean the utility room (naughty kitties)
*Fill Dakota’s dog food feeder

I’m tired all ready.
