Feeling Trapped by Gas Prices

Gas is so high here $3.29, and it is going up again this evening. I’m feeling a little trapped by these rising gas prices. I’m a stay at home mom, and now I’m really a stay at home mom. My few trips out are going to get cut even more to try and save a little.

I shop out of town at Walgreen’s and Aldi to save, but a 40 mile round trip is now going to cost me about $7.00. That eats up my savings. What to do. My shopping choices are pretty limited here, but we are getting a Walgreen’s in the future so that will help. I still plan on shopping at Aldi too so that will cost me in gas. I guess the best thing that I can do is organize my shopping trip, and plan ahead.

Does anyone have any good plans for saving during the gas price increase? Please feel free to leave your suggestions and comments.

To Do List Today

Well I didn’t get the kids out to go shopping yesterday. They actually both took a nap at the same time, so I took advantage of the break and got a few extra things done around the house. Here is today’s list:

*Bring down dirty clothes from upstairs
*Put away 3 loads of laundry
*Wash and put away dishes
*Take James lunch at work
*Feed and water kitties (2x)
*Maybe go to Walgreen’s (great sale I have to get there by Saturday)
*Empty wastebaskets upstairs and downstairs
*Take out the trash

It has been a long morning already, both of the boys were up all night with stuffy noses (allergies), and Dylan was ready to eat at 4:00 a.m. I didn’t get too much sleep, maybe 3 hours. I’m also trying to get Thade to eat new foods so I don’t have to cook 12 different meals everyday. He is protesting his breakfast today, it is waffles, not too scary… It is going to be one of those days today.
