May’s Crafts

I didn’t seem to be crafting too much during the month of May. I hope to remedy that in June.

I got a big pile of yarn and a few books for Mother’s Day. My family knows me too well.

My knitting basket holds a project based on one of my favorite books. Yes, I am that big of a nerd.

I’m still working on Dylan’s blanket that I hoped to finish last Summer.

I really hope to have it finished soon. Every night Dylan asks me when it’s going to be done, and I always say twenty-thirty rows give-or-take.

Agnes’ blanket is still a very much work in progress. Every time I start working on this little project, Jinx runs up, and naps right away. I try and move her, and she just plops right back down on it. This one still has a good sixty rows to go, if Jinx will let me.

James got me a little surprise. I have wanted a sewing basket for all of my hand-sewing notions scattered around my bedside table. I love this basket, and I’ve finally got a home for all of those odds and ends.

Now that June is here, and school is out, I hope to craft a bit more. I have several works in progress that I really need to finish up.

And Just Like That, It’s June

May absolutely flew by, and the kids were out of school way too early this year. It seems like the weather started to warm up way too quickly, and poof it is now June.

Did I mention just how hot it is?!? Right now it is 95 F, but feels like 105 F, and it is seriously the first day of June!!! This Summer is going to be miserable…We are currently filling the pool, and I am currently hiding out from the Sun.

The kids have been out of school for almost three weeks already. They are bored, fighting, hungry, fighting, bored, and fighting constantly… Seriously, and 105 F weather, it is going to be a looooooong Summer.

I wish I had exciting plans for the month of June, but it is mostly just endless housework, and cooking, and breaking up fights between one brooding teen, one grumpy tween, and dealing with one screaming angry girl who acts like a tween even though she’s eight… And it feels like 105 F.

Ugh…

Two Weeks In

The kids have been off from school for two weeks already. They are bored, hungry, and grouchy about twenty-four hours a day.

I’m just trying to keep up with the madness…
