Good ‘Ol Days 2013

Every year during the first weekend in June our town hosts the Good ‘Ol Days. There is a parade, street fair, and lots of activities going on around town.

This year was extra fun. We had all of our family along to enjoy the festivities.

The kids were a little bummed… On parade night we had to miss the parade. There were severe storms in the area, and the sky wasn’t looking too favorable.

By Saturday the weather had improved, and the temps were nice and mild.

The kids were anxiously waiting by the front door for everyone to arrive. Grandma, Nana, Aunt Jill were coming to visit. Uncle Rob and Sarah were also on the way. This was our first time meeting Sarah, and the kids couldn’t wait to give her big hugs.

In the afternoon everyone arrived. We hung out at the house for a bit, and then we headed off to the fair.

It was such a fun day. The weather was amazing, and we all enjoyed the Good ‘Ol Days.

Under The Weather

I haven’t had too good of a week… I’ve been having trouble with migraines, allergies, and seasonal affective disorder. I just haven’t felt too good lately. I’ve been sticking close to home, and working on little projects here and there.

Maybe next week will go better.

Sneak Peek of June’s Tasty Treats

It has been a funny month. I’m still getting into the swing of Summer, and keeping up the kitchen hasn’t been going too well.

I had better get to the kitchen, and get some more photos. I haven’t been baking that much, but I have a ton of dishes to wash…

Spring Garden

Summer is just around the corner, and already it is getting a little warm in KS. I would like to get a few more plants for the front yard, but I don’t know if I am going to get the task done. Here are some of the flowers and plants that are in my little gardens.

It has been a rainy Spring, but the flowers have loved it.
