Today’s To Do:

My hubby is off work today! I hope that he gets to rest and relax 😉 The weather is finally improving it is going to be a balmy 40 today. We are getting out of the house today (for sure). It is looking like a very busy day, and I’m going to get about 9 dozen cookies baked somewhere in there too… Here is the plan for today:

  • Empty Upstairs Waste-baskets
  • Empty Downstairs Waste-baskets
  • Take out the trash (trash cans to alley)
  • Pick up the boy’s Christmas pictures (40 min round trip)
  • Go to Walgreens
  • BAKE COOKIES (for Dr’s office and Hospital 9 dozen): I’ll be making
    • No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal
    • White Chocolate Apricot Oatmeal
    • White Chocolate Cranberry Oatmeal

We’ll see what I get done today, it is going to be really busy 😉

December’s Projects

This month there seems to be something that needs to be done everyday. It looks like it is going to be one super-busy month. Here is what I hope to get accomplished this month:

  • Clean and Organize the Dining Room (before Christmas)
  • Clean and Organize the Kitchen (before Christmas)
  • Deep Clean the Bottom Floor and Upstairs Bathroom (before Christmas)
  • Organize the Boy’s Closet (I’m starting today-Dylan has had a growth spurt)
  • Get the Boy’s Picture taken with Santa (should be next Saturday)
  • Mail out Christmas Cards
  • Bake 12 dozen cookies for Holiday Cookie Plates

There is always the usual Christmas items that need to be done too: cooking, cleaning, entertaining, shopping, it is going to be one busy month 😉  How is your December looking? Are you ready for Christmas, and the holiday guests?

Nice and Easy Saturday

After yesterday’s craziness I’m staying in today and taking it easy. Today I’ll be in the kitchen making Chex Mix for my hubby, and baking Oatmeal Muffins for next weeks quick and easy breakfasts. I hope they turn out well, I’ll be freezing them so they are ready for me to pop in the microwave when I’m half-awake 😉

I’m also playing catch-up on laundry and dishes too. I also still need to get next weeks shopping list and coupons together. Wait a second, this day is suddenly sounding like more things to do, and less time to relax.

What to do this week

This week has quickly gone from what to do, to what all I have to do… This is going to be one busy week:

  • Today: Grocery Shop, Go to the Post Office, Christmas Parade at 6:00 p.m. (I hope it is not too cold, it is going to get down to 24 tonight)
  • Wednesday: Get the oil changed in Hubby’s Car, and Give Thade a Hair-cut
  • Thursday: Bake 5 dozen cookies for Hubby’s Work for Friday
  • Friday: Christmas Pictures of the boys at 3:00 p.m. (out of town, and the Grandmas will finally be happy)
  • Saturday:Final day on this week’s Walgreens penny sale
  • Sunday: Local (but out of town for me) Dollar Tree 10% off $10.00 sale- I’m going to try and make this one, if the weather cooperates

I’m still decorating the house, yesterday I started on the outside, but I quickly ran out of garland. I’ll pick up some more at the store today, and hopefully get the outdoors finished during the warmest part of the day. I’m just about finished inside, and I got the boy’s tree up last night, and it looks great. Thade was a little disappointed though, he thought his tree would be much bigger, no complaints from Dylan 😉

Snow and More Snow

This morning we woke up to snow, and Thade was thrilled. He asked “is it Christmas?” Not just yet, but it will be soon. The snow is very pretty, and it is still falling, I hope we don’t get too much snow. I have to get out and to Walgreens today, we are down to our last box of tissues.

Here is the plan for today:

  • Go to Walgreens-the sooner the better
  • Finalize next weeks shopping list
  • Start the Christmas decorating
  • Make my lists of: What I have, and What I still need to buy for Christmas
  • Wash 3 loads of laundry
  • Dishes (as always)
  • Clean the bottom floor as it has become Thade’s Toy Box
  •  Bake Banana Muffins

I really wish I didn’t have to get out at all today, the weather outside isn’t even to freezing yet. I don’t think that the last box of tissues is going to last too much longer 😉
