This Week

This week we’ve stayed close to home. It has been rainy everyday, so we take advantage of the sunny weather when we can.

Agnes seriously loves that great big kitty. He seems pretty happy with his new blanket too.

I finally did some baking!

The kids love their trampoline! The boys are on it constantly.

I gave grilling a try.

I crocheted a little bit everyday too. My latest blanket is coming along nicely.

I rearranged the downstairs, and made a little Summer daybed under the stairs. I finally got all of the “new” pictures up on the wall too.

Miss Mia likes the new snuggly spot too.

Friday was the annual Good ‘Ol Days parade. I thought it was going to get rained out, but the weather cleared for the parade. The festival is today, but more rain is on the way. We’re keeping an eye on the storms, and maybe we’ll get to visit the festival in between the rain showers.

Hope you had a great week, and have a fantastic weekend too.

May’s Favorite Photos

I still can’t believe that it is June. May flew by, but I didn’t get too much accomplished. I do have a few photos to share from our neck of the woods.

Thade was happy to see Summer’s arrival. He had a great year at school. He received four awards at the end of the year, and one included All A’s All Year! I’m super proud of my big kid.

Dylan was ready for Summer, but not quite ready to say good-bye to school. He already misses his friends, and his teacher too. He did fantastic this year in school, had awesome grades, and his reading level is off the charts. I’m super proud of this little guy too.

Miss Agnes will be starting pre-school in the fall. I really can’t believe that she is ready for pre-k, this little lasy is growing up fast. She has been practicing her letters, numbers, and spelling her name. She is ready for school, and I am so proud of her too.

It is pretty nice having all of my kiddos home.

The boys surprised me with sweet handmade gifts for Mother’s Day! They were fantastic.

James left me a motivational note on the last day of school.

I finally finished Agnes’ Summertime blanket.

I started a few more projects to work on during the Summer break.

We’ve been working on little projects around the house.

I’ve also been out thrifting a bit.

Miss Mia misses her daily “road trips”, she loved to ride along to pick-up the boys after school.

The big guy isn’t so sure about having everyone home all of the time. The noise is a bit much for him. He is usually hiding out in our bedroom.

It is hard to catch a nap these days.

Atlantis part five

Almost home… We had just a few hours before we were off to the airport. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast, and wandered around Atlantis for just a bit more.

I was going to miss this beautiful place…

The vacation was incredible, but it was time to get back to “the real world”. We had a long day of travel ahead of us, and  long wait through customs.

Good-bye Atlantis… Back to the states.

We had a bit of a break at Atlanta. We also had a late flight back to Kansas City. We were already thinking of spending the night in the city, and sleeping in one more day.

We decided that one more stay would be best, and we would head home in the morning.

I watched a few episodes of Doctor Who, and then we headed home.

I was so happy to be back home! I had missed the kids so much, and my little fuzzy pets too.

It was great to be back with this crazy lot!

Home sweet home. The Bahamas and Atlantis was absolutely incredible. I am so happy that we got to travel out of the states, and experience all that we did. It was truly good to be home though.

Atlantis part four

It was our last full day on the island. The only thing that we had scheduled were dinner plans. Those were for much later in the day. We decided to spend the day relaxing at the beach, and revisiting a few favorite places too.

We wandered the path up to the Lazy River ride. It was one of our very favorites at Atlantis.

We spent some time at the Royal Towers Pool. That pool was perfection.

We walked the path over to the Cove, and spent some time in the Atlantic ocean. I miss the ocean so.

Later in the evening, we dressed up, and headed out to dinner.

We grabbed a shuttle, and went over to the Cove. We had reserved a table at Mesa Grill, and I couldn’t wait.

The Cove is absolutely beautiful.

We had the most amazing meal! Seriously, I am completely ruined on eating anything other than Bobby Flay’s incredible menu. It was absolutely delcious!

As the sun was setting, we strolled around the patio a bit. The gardens, fountains, and palm trees are absolutely beautiful.

Our vacation was coming to an end, but what an amazing vacation it had been.

Atlantis part three

It was our third day in the Bahamas, and we were supposed to wake up extra early and go snorkeling for the entire day. After our bad sunburn from a day out on the water, we decided to stay in, and sleep in.

It also opened up the day for hanging out and exploring Atlantis.

There is so much to see and do there. It is just incredible.

I could just wander around and look at all of the pretty gardens…

The aquariums are incredibly beautiful too.

I have a new found adoration for sting-rays. They are beautiful in the water, and they have a big personality,

I like this little one, he was napping.

This sting-ray was all smiles.

We headed over to predator bay to see the really big sharks. We also spent time swimming in the ocean. It was a beautiful, and very relaxing day.

The sharks spooked me a bit. They were amazing though.

Later in the evening we had our final company dinner. We got together with some friends from KS, and caught up. It was a fun evening, and the food was fantastic too.

We had just one more full day left on the island…
