June’s Favorite Photos

This post is a little late this month… It has been a fun filled, busy July already. I have lots of photos to share from the month of June, and lots more on the way from July.

Thade is still dodging the camera.

I caught him though, when he lost another tooth.

Dylan was all smiles, he loves a picnic outdoors.

He has been catching up on his Summer reading.

Miss Agnes loves the big kitty.

Agnes was happy at the Good ‘Ol Days parade.

All three kiddos are loving the trampoline. They enjoy the pretty outdoors when it isn’t too hot.

The tiny ones were snuggly and cute on the new Summer bed.

We had fun at the Good ‘Ol Days. We left just before it started to rain.

We also visited Redbud Nurseries. We took lots of photos, and came home with lots of plants too.

How I love some pretty KS skies. Daytime, or nighttime.

The Red Lilies bloomed, finally.

Miss Mia pup is happy to have everyone home to play with.

The big kitty not so much.

He just wants to nap.

This Weekend: Staycation

This weekend was Father’s Day, so I asked my hubby what he wanted to do for the weekend… He really wanted to stay home and relax, so I decided that a “staycation weekend” was in order.

We spent most of the evening outdoors on Friday night.

James took over the grilling, and I set the picnic table.

The weather was perfect outside to eat in the backyard.

My “staycation” involved skipping laundry, and crocheting instead. I spent a lot of time working on two of my biggest projects.

We had a nice weekend at home, hanging out with the kiddos, and relaxing a bit too. It was nice to have a little break from the everyday cleaning routine too.

Happy At Home

We finally have a day without rain, so I’m firing up the grill for dinner. We’ve been outside soaking up some much needed sun, and the kids are finally running off some of their extra energy too.

I am very happy to be at home today. I’m so happy to see some pretty weather, and get outside with the pup and kids too.

2014 Good ‘Ol Days

We had planned on having everyone up for the day, but the weather didn’t look like it was going to be too kind. We talked it out, and decided to get together for a gigantic Fourth of July instead. The kids still wanted to go to the Good ‘Ol Days, so we waited for a break in the weather.

We checked the schedule, and headed over to watch the Lumberjack show.

The kids had a great seat for the show.

There were several different competitions, including a boom run.

It started to grow a bit cloudy, so we decided to walk around for a bit.

We didn’t end up sticking around for too long…

The day was fun, but also a bit meh… Usually we stick around the Good ‘Ol Days, grab lunch, and take the kids to the rides too. This year (and maybe I’m just more frugal this year) everything was WAY over-priced. The food was outrageous, the rides were $3.00 a ride, we ended passing on everything and visiting Sonic on the way home. We grabbed snacks and drinks for five of us, and the cost was less than a Pulled Pork Sandwich at the Good ‘Ol Days.

2014 Good ‘Ol Days Parade

Last weekend was the annual Good ‘Ol Days. We always try to go if we can. I really thought that the parade was going to be rained out, but the weather cleared just in time.

The kids were anxious to go, and see if they could get some candy.

We found a pretty good spot, and even caught up with a few friends.

There were so many restored classic cars, and shiny rescue vehicles too. Agnes loves the firetruck.

I loved the pups. How I wish we could bring one of them home…

There were  several different types of antique vehicles, and tractors too.

Dylan’s favorite is the John Deere tractor.

What parade would be complete without some adorable poines…

There were so many pretty horses.

The parade was a lot of fun. The kids came home with a bunch of candy, and they made some new friends too. We headed out to pick-up dinner, and call it an early night.
