Today I turned 26. And I have to say, I have had a very Happy Birthday! Everyone in our home is feeling better, and getting over the yucky cold. I got lots of flowers, a cute tea-cup filled with pink carnations from Connie, and a dozen long-stemmed red roses from my awesome husband. We went out to lunch for my birthday. We even snuck in a little shopping, bowling, and a quick trip to Starbucks to complete the day. It has been a great day, even though I only bowled a 78.

Feeling a little better
The little one is feeling a lot better today, and I’m feeling better too. My poor husband has the cold now, and I think that he is feeling the sickest now. I am trying to get caught up on all of the house -work that I missed. Tons of laundry await me, and the floors need cleaned too. I know that the little guy is better, the living-room is a huge mess. I get one thing cleaned, and he has trashed another. I think I need another “sick day”.
It started with a sneeze
Well we all have my son’s cold. It has been almost a full week that the little one has been feeling yucky, and last night was the first night that we all got some rest. My hubby and I now have the cold, so we are staying in tonight for movies and home-made chicken soup, while surrounded by the romantic sent of vapo-rub. I even bought the tissues with lotion for the special occasion. The little one is doing better today, he still has the cough, and the runny nose, but he is up playing, and he really wants to go outside to play. I don’t think that I am up to the challenge, so I’m going to try and keep him quiet inside. The couch is calling my name. Happy Valentine’s Day to all!
Quick trip back to the Doctor’s Office
The poor little one still isn’t feeling his best, so Daddy and I took him to the Doctor first thing this morning. We had to see the doctor on call, because our doctor was out for the remainder of the week, but we were so happy to get him in. They screened him for RSV, just to be on the safe side, and gave him a round of anti-biotic. He also needs lots of fluids, so he can eat all of the pop-sicles that he wants. We have to run out this afternoon, and pick up the medicine, and we’ll find out the test results on Monday. So I’ll be a worried mommy all weekend. I hope that it is nothing serious, and that he is feeling better soon.
Feeling Feverish
The little one isn’t feeling his best today. He is running a slight fever, and is busy laying around the house. He has already taken one nap today, and is almost down for another one. Poor little one, I hope that he is feeling better soon.
