All About The Month…

This month is crazy crazy crazy! I have something on the calendar everyday until the 29th, and it looks like this trend is going to carry on until May. Yesterday I missed posting, because I was in the kitchen for the entire day. I was making 12 dozen cookies, and 2 pans of brownies for my hubby’s work lunch going on today. I finished up the last 3 dozen cookies this morning, so once Yo Gabba Gabba! is over we’ll deliver the last of them, and run an errand too.

My big kid has decided that 5:30 a.m. is the new time for him to wake up to go to school. This morning he started the trend of going in and waking up his little brother at 5:30 a.m. too. Not too cool, the little Miss wasn’t cooperating last night, and didn’t get to decent sleep until 2:00 a.m. I don’t think that I’m going to make it on three hours of sleep today.

I have a parent-teacher conference this week too, which a;ways makes me nervous. It is also Book Fair week, so I know that Thade is going to be bugging me about this one. Maybe I’ll go and finally get a Library Card, and see if that will work instead.

Spring Break is coming up soon, and Thade can’t wait. There are Doctor’s appointments to go too, and I’ve got another Dentist appointment later this month too. I don’t know what the Miss will think about having everyone home, her big brothers don’t like to let her nap.

Dylan’s 3rd birthday is this month too. So there is shopping to be done, and a birthday party to plan too. Dylan is really excited too, since he is turning 3, he will be able to attend pre-school in the Fall. He can’t wait.

Time to pack up the diaper bag, and get back to it.

Party Planning

This week is crazy busy!!!!! Thade is turning six tomorrow, and we’ve got a big party planned for him this weekend. I’m finishing up a batch of cupcakes for Thade’s class for tomorrow, and then I’ve got to bake the birthday chocolate bundt cake. Luckily this weekend, my best buddy Stacey-cakes is baking the birthday cake for the party. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with, and get to eat the yummy cake too nom nom nom!

I finally got the Christmas decorations taken down in the inside of the house. The outside is a whole other story… It is way too cold to be out today, and it looks like we are in for another ice/snow storm starting tonight. I’ve already been out for gas and groceries, and all of the birthday party supplies too. I just hope the snow isn’t too bad this time.

Time to get back to it…

Pretty Soon This Guy Is Turning 6

019

Yep this week my oldest son Thade is turning 6! I can hardly believe it, this little guy is growing up way too fast. He is really excited though, and can’t wait for his birthday party this weekend. There is a lot to be done this week, a party to finish planning, treat bags to fill, and many cupcakes to bake too. It is going to be one busy week over here, but a fun one too.

Another Snow Day

Yesterday the outside world and roads looked like this…

So I had all 3 kiddos bundled up like this.

0032

The snow kept on falling and the temps kept on dropping, and thank goodness they canceled school.

So today Thade looks like this…

And my day looks pretty much like this…

If the temps keep on falling, I think we’ll have another snow day in the near future.

Nico’s 2010 Resolutions

Thank goodness it is time for a new year! I’m happy to see 2009 over and out. I’ve got a few resolutions for the new year, and we’ll see if I keep them.

  1. A blog post a day, or at least a picture a day
  2. Be a better homemaker
  3. Finish some painting projects around the house. I would love to paint our bedroom, the boy’s room, and the upstairs bathroom too
  4. Stress less (but that one is probably not going to happen)
  5. Make more vegetarian meals (the boy’s aren’t going to like that one)

I figure 5 is a good start… What are some of your new year’s resolutions?
