Hanging In There

Today James is off work, and I am grateful for that. If this evil headache-migraine-nonsense returns, we are off to Urgent Care for a round of shots.

This morning I am enjoying the quiet while I’ve got it. Agnes is back at school, and feeling so much better. Dylan’s class is going caroling today. I sent Thade along with his gift for his teacher, and the items to pass out for Christmas too. We’ll see if they are still hanging out in his backpack this afternoon.

Next week is the last week before Christmas break, and it is going to go by in a hurry. The kids are getting so anxious to get a little break from school. I had better get to it…

Happy Friday to you!

Not Too Well

Yesterday, Agnes made it through school, but came home with a tummy-ache. By the afternoon, she was miserable with a yucky bug. Yesterday I also had my second migraine for the week. I hope this isn’t turning into a week filled with cluster headaches, and tummy-woes.

So today we are resting, relaxing, and not eating too much… Ugh, I really hope the boys and my hubby can stay healthy.

It Is Tuesday, Right?!?

Today I woke up and thought it was Wednesday. I’m way too tired for it to only be Tuesday. This week has been busy already, and it looks like it won’t be stopping anytime too soon.

The boys have an early out day tomorrow, and Thade is having a friend over for the afternoon. The house is going to be extra noisy, and filled with crazy kiddos. I had better make some extra snacks for tomorrow.

Agnes and I got to the store today, we bought the week’s groceries, and a little bit of wrapping paper too. I picked up candy canes and hot cocoa mix for the boy’s to pass out at school. I still need to get all of the handmade gifts wrapped for the teachers, and family too. Maybe, I can get that accomplished tomorrow.

Happy Tuesday, well almost Wednesday to you.

Just 10 Days Left

Yesterday I finally got caught up from Thanksgiving. The fridge was properly cleaned out, and the kitchen was cleared of all dirty dishes, also the neglected laundry was all caught up too. I took a little break in there to crochet a bit on two throws. I also started cleaning on the boy’s room, but I didn’t get too far.

We are still finishing up on all of the Christmas to do’s. The big kids have just ten days left of school before the Christmas break. Agnes only has six, so I had better use my time a little more wisely.

James is working a bit this morning, so the kiddos and I are having a quiet morning. I hope to get a few more chores accomplished this morning, and relax for the rest of the weekend.

What about you… What are your weekend plans?

Thanksgiving Came and Went in a Hurry

I was up by 5:00 a.m., and downstairs working on the turkeys. I still had a few veggies to wash, and the floors needed swept once more. Our families were arriving soon, and we all couldn’t wait.

We were having  Thanksgiving dinner for lunch, and wouldn’t you know it, I was so stinking busy that I didn’t get a single picture of anything…

It was an amazing day. I got to catch up with everyone, and spend lots of time with my mom and brother. The food was pretty darn tasty too. The day flew by all too quickly, and before we knew it, everyone was getting back on the road.

I love Thanksgiving. It has quickly become my very favorite holiday. I just wish the day would slow down a bit.
