Spring Break Is Wrapping Up

The kids have been out since the eleventh, and Spring Break has been pretty good. The kids aren’t quite ready to go back to school just yet, but they just have to go for four days next week.

We’ve spent lots of time outside, when the weather was cooperating. The cold weather returned on Friday.

Nana also came to visit, and watch the kiddos for me on Friday. I had to go to the oral surgeon to get this evil wisdom tooth out. I was glad she was here to help, I really needed some rest.

I didn’t really get too much done, even though I was constantly busy. I did spend lots of time with the kiddos watching movies, watching them play the PS4, or minecraft. It was nice staying close to home, and bumming around in pj’s.

Monday will be here soon enough, and we’ve got another busy week. Dylan’s 9th birthday is next Saturday, and there is Easter too. It will be a short school week, so I had better get done what I can while I have the time.

Attempting To Keep Up

Well it is Tuesday, and we made it to the store. We needed to get more groceries, and order new glasses for the boys.

The flowers are blooming in the front yard. I’ve got one of the flower beds cleaned out in the backyard.

Agnes has been reading non-stop, and playing school I think she is missing kindergarten. It is pretty cool, she is reading at a first grade level. I’m super proud of this little reader.

While we were at the store I picked up some new outdoor toys for the kids. They’ve been playing out in the backyard all afternoon. The weather has been amazing so far, but it looks like rain and cooler temps are on the way.

The days have been so loud… I’ve been trying to find some quiet during the evenings.

Well dinner is done, and I’m off to wash more dishes. Oh goodness, I’m getting tired.

Spring Break

Spring Break is upon us, and holy moly the house is so loud. Also, all of the groceries have disappeared. Better take care of that tomorrow.

This time around the weather has been amazing. We’ve been able to spend some much needed time outdoors. I would love to start working on the yard, but I’m worried that we’ll see another cold snap in Kansas.

Miss Lula is pretty pumped that everyone is home, more snuggles for her!

I’m off to clean up from dinner, and attempt to wash some more dishes. I’m still playing catch-up from the flu, and there is no end in sight to the housework ahead of me.

Sick Days

Sorry for the time away… We have been sick, really, really, really sick for about the last two weeks. We had another round of influenza hit the house, and it took us out one by one.

Finally today the kids are feeling back to normal, and their appetites are back. My voice is still gone, but I think it is just due to allergies. I finally feel like I have a bit of energy back.
