Monthly Crochet Review: April

I need to clean my craft table… It is getting a bit cluttered. So is the rest of the house, but who wants to clean when there is crafting to be had.

Looking over my photos for the month, I wasn’t working on any little projects. I have a bunch of Christmas present projects going on though.

I have four projects in progress right now, and three more that have yet to get started.

I’ve started working on a Soft Grey blanket for a gift. It is coming along nicely. I work on it a row at a time whenever I have a chance. I’m using RedHeart Grey Heather Yarn, and double-crocheting all of the rows. I love this shade of yarn, and I have used it on several projects.

I’ve also started another Happy Hexagon blanket for a gift.

I can’t remember if this is the third or fourth one that I have made. I love this blanket pattern. It comes together quickly, and the colors are random and fun.

I did (finally) get one gift finished…

The Mod Grannysquare blanket is done!

This one is a gift, but I love the look of it so much, I have to make one for our house too.

I started this one last year. I can’t remember just when I started it, but I really am pleased with the final outcome. The bright colors pop, and it is extra warm and cozy too.

April’s Favorite Photos

April, Spring arrived, and we celebrated Easter too. It was a month that went by all too quickly, and I’m still catching up around the house.

May has been unbelievably busy, and I haven’t really been taking too many photos. I had better do something to remedy that quickly before the month completely passes me by.

April’s Veggie Meals

April was a super tasty month. I had so much fun cooking in the kitchen, and trying out new dishes.

Pasta Salad is one of my favorite go-to Spring dishes.

Roasted Veggies have become a main-stay for Sunday nights.

I’m trying out a few vegan dishes. This salad topped with Chickpeas and Salsa Verde was delicious.

Leftover roasted veggies are pretty tasty baked with Mozzarella.

Fresh fruit makes for a easy vegan and raw dinner.

Veggie Soup and Homemade Bread is also one of my favorites.

Baked Potato bites have become one of favorite dishes. I like mine with Broccoli and extra Cheese.

I’m sticking with my veggies through the month of May, and I can’t wait to make some more tasty dishes.

April’s Tasty Treats

April was a tasty month, and I spent a lot of time cooking in the kitchen. Here are a few photos that I have to share with you.

I whipped up a quick and tasty Berry Duff. Oh man, it is one of my very favorite desserts.

Fresh Baked Butter Rolls make an appearance at least twice a week at our house.

I made a crazy tasty batch of homemade Vanilla Ice Cream.

I also made a batch of homemade Pina Colada Ice Cream for me, it was delicious!

I also made a few batches of Chocolate Chip Cookies.

I tried out a pinterest recipe for Vanilla Crazy Cake. It was yummy.

I added fresh Raspberries to mine. It was scrumptious.

One very humid Sunday, I made up a batch of Bread Dough.

I made some little artisan loaves for Thade.

I think I finally duplicated my favorite Casey’s snack. I added in chopped peanuts, and oatmeal, and got the consistency just right. These little Peanut Butter Crispy bites were an amazing snack.

I made some homemade Cinnamon Rolls for a good buddy of our family.

I’ve been busy in the kitchen this month too. It seems like there have been more dishes to wash, than yummy dishes to make though.
