February’s Favorite Photos

I didn’t get too many photos during February, but I do have a few favorites to share.

Thade was up extra early for a Spelling Bee on Valentine’s Day.

Dylan lost another tooth, he was thrilled.

Yep, those curls are real.

Agnes had an awesome time at the Valentine’s Day party at preschool.

She was really excited when Valentine’s Day flowers were delivered for her!

We made homemade donuts, and they disappeared fast.

I also received some very lovely Valentine’s Day flowers from my hubby.

The Orange Geranium bloomed on a very cold Winter day.

With all of the cold weather going on, I just want to nap, and craft…

The Hot Pink Gerbera Daisy bloomed too. Agnes loves this plant, I think we have had it growing in the house for two years.

Miss Mia has been my little buddy. This little pup is really ready for Spring weather.

February’s Veggie Meals

Since the beginning of January, I’ve gone back to being a vegetarian, lacto-ovo vegetarian to be specific.

Now I didn’t become a vegetarian to lose weight, I was just tired of my stomach hurting every single time that I ate a meal.

Also, I haven’t changed the meals that I am making for my family. I still make their favorites, I just made something else for me. I have gotten the kids to try a few of the veggie dishes though, so that is a win.

For the first month. I didn’t really menu plan at all. I ate what I had on hand fresh, and it took me about two weeks for my tummy to get on board with the changes. Two months later, I am feeling so much better. My stomach has been cooperating, and I’m really enjoying the vegetarian dishes.

I am also having a blast cooking again. I had been in a cooking rut for quite a bit, and exploring new dishes, and making new recipes has been great.

As for February, again I didn’t really menu plan for my meals. I did keep track of the entire month of meals.

February’s Tasty Treats

I spent the month of February busy in the kitchen. There were lots of tasty goods going on.

I made several batches of Cinnamon Rolls. I proofed the dough in the breadmaker.

I also baked a few Chocolate Bundt Cakes too.

I love making muffins. This batch was Oatmeal with Sliced Almonds and Dried Cranberries.

I also made some Vanilla Cupcakes.

I made a few batches of Homemade Wheat Bread.

When it was Valentine’s Day, I made a big batch of Belgian Waffles.

I like mine with extra Strawberries and Cool Whip.

For my birthday, I received several Donut pans. I couldn’t wait to try them out!

They were delicious! I would like to make a few more batches sooner than later.

I made a super tasty Red Velvet Cake for my birthday too. Dylan has already asked me to make one for his birthday.

The cake turned out beautifully, and it really was delicious.

I lost count of just how many Cinnamon Rolls I made throughout the month.

My new favorite go-to dinner is Grilled Cheese on Homemade Wheat Bread. Holy moly I am hooked!

After all of that cooking, the kitchen pretty much looks like this most days.

I’ll be back in the kitchen today. I think I’ll make a big batch of brownies, and chocolate chip cookies too.
