Snow Day

The snow has been steadily falling for about eight hours, and it isn’t showing any sign of stopping anytime too soon. James took the kids out to play in the snow this afternoon, for just a bit, the temps are pretty chilly to be out there. Miss Mia even got out and played in the snow for a bit. I stayed indoors, and enjoyed the little bit of quiet while I had it.

The snow is so pretty, but the kiddos are restless, and grouchy… I think this is going to be an extra long weekend.

Stay warm, and if you have nice weather, enjoy it for me.

Hello Friday

I’m so ready for the weekend, or at least I’m ready for a day to sleep in, and not go out into the cold. My only plans for this weekend are to bake some chocolate chip cookies, and work on my crocheted blanket projects.

Maybe I’ll get around to giving the pup a bath too…

Cleaning Days

I’m still working on a household cleaning schedule that fits my schedule. I’ve been taking notes on my phone, and journaling my chores too. So far I’ve noticed that Tuesday and Thursday are my deep cleaning/icky chores day. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are usually light-cleaning days.

I’ve been shopping on Wednesdays, but I think I’m going to have to switch that back to Mondays. Monday seems to be the day of the week that I have the most energy.

When it comes to weekends, those are my busiest work-days. I try to leave Saturday open, and tend to errands, or whatever task needs accomplished. Sundays are filled with baking, and getting ready for the week ahead.

More Cold Weather Is On The Way

Today it was in the 50’s and oh so lovely, by midnight, it is supposed to snow again. Oh goodness, I am more than ready for Spring weather.

I got the house stocked up, and I picked up a little bit of yarn too. Just in case we get snowed in over the weekend.

I’ve made a batch of Cinnamon Rolls.

I started a new book this week too. I think I’m up to number five for the year.

I’m also working on three different blankets (so far) for Christmas.

I think I’m set, bring on the snow!

So It’s Your Birthday…

Well today is my little brother’s birthday. Even though he really isn’t little anymore, actually I think he has been taller since me every since we were kids. But what can I say, I love him more than the moon and the stars, and he really, truly is the most amazing person. He is an amazing artist, creative, kind, caring, and he has always been there for me through the good times and the tough ones too. He is an awesome Uncle, and seriously, the bestest brother ever! Happy Birthday Rob, we love you!
