A girl and her pup…

Looks Like Snow
Well it looks like the first snow shower of the season is on the way. I’m planning a full day indoors filled with laundry, baking, and crocheting a few more scarves too. The kids are hoping for a lot of snow, Agnes really wants to make a snowman. I don’t think we will get too much though, maybe an inch.
I’ve spent the last week getting the kitchen ready for Thanksgiving. I’ve stocked up on a few side supplies, and rearranged the cabinets. I’ve got the dishes and plates cleaned for the holiday, and I can’t wait to get to cooking. It seems like this month is passing by too quickly, I hope I’m ready.
Back to today… I love weekends like this.
What about you… What do you have planned for today?
The Cold Weather Has Arrived
The cold weather has moved into our little neck of the woods, and the Miss and I are hiding out today. The house is all stocked up, so we don’t need to get out of the house, well until we need to go pick-up the little guys from school.
I’ve been crocheting teacher gifts for Christmas, and catching up on the dishes and laundry too. I was actually all caught up for a good two days, then I slacked off on the housekeeping duties, and the mess has returned. I guess that is another reason that I need to stay indoors.
I’m on my second double cup of coffee, and I’m probably going to need another to warm up, and wake up too. It has been a long week, and the little ones haven’t been too cooperative in the chilly weather. Snow is on the way for the weekend, so maybe that will cheer them up a bit.
What about you… What do you have going on today?
Preschool Treats and Gifts
Last week Miss Agnes was in charge of snacks for her preschool. I needed something healthy to make, and I wanted to use what I had on hand at home. We decided on Oatmeal Muffins for the kiddos.
I doubled the batch. It made enough for the class, and for the teachers too. Everyone liked them too.
So while I was baking, I got to thinking about the Christmas party at preschool next month. I’ve been trying my best to stay ahead of the holidays this year, so maybe I won’t be so stressed when they finally arrive.
I need to have twenty-one little gifts for the kids. I also need to make three gifts for the teachers. I decided on crocheted scarves for the teachers, and handmade ornaments for the kids.
I crocheted twenty-one little granny-stars in assorted colors. I think they will do the trick for the little preschool gifts, and they were very budget friendly too.
