Monday Morning

It is only 7:00 a.m. here, and the boys have been up and arguing since 6:15 a.m. The Miss was quickly to follow. I think today is going to be an extra long day… We are off to three stores this morning to get the house stocked back up. I hope the kids are up to the trip.

Better get to it. Happy Monday!

Sunday: Stills

I often try to stay off of my computer on the weekends, so I usually don’t have a post for Sunday. I was looking through some photos this morning, when I was up way too early, and I thought that Sunday would be a nice spot to share a still photo. I’ll try to make this one a weekly post, I love to take photos of all things that are still.

This Week

This week the weather has been extra warm, so we’ve been hiding out indoors. The kids have been playing non-stop, and yesterday they spent the entire afternoon in a blanket fort that they had built. I say blanket fort, but it was really a multi-level pirate ship. They were screaming pirates, and they had a blast.

I took the pirates out for a bit to run errands, and get sno-cones too. I think we picked the hottest part of the day to get outside. Today it is going to be really warm, so I’ve got the ice-pops stocked and ready to go. I think another indoors day is in order.

Stay cool today…

Sneak Peek of July’s Tasty Treats

There has been a whole lot of baking going on in my kitchen this month. I need to bake a few extra goodies for the weekend too. Here are a few sneak peek photos of what’s been going on in the kitchen.

I guess I had better get to it. I’ve got a cinnamon cake request from my biggest kid.

Finished Project: Little Ones

This week I’ve been wrapping up a big crochet project, and making a few little ones too. I’m also getting started on crochet Christmas gifts for the ladies in our family, but I can’t post pictures of those just yet.

Continuing with cushion making, Agnes requested a yellow one. Yellow seems to be her favorite color this week, and it just so happened that I just picked up yellow yarn.

These little rounds are quick to crochet.

Here are the two completed rounds ready for their pillow form.

And done.

I think she likes it!

Next up, I’ll be making a green one for Dylan.

I also started and finished a little project for my purse. I was in need of a make-up bag, so I picked out some of my favorite yarn colors, and got to work.

Pinks and plums double crocheted into stripes. The crochet was complete in under an hour. I would have had the entire project done, but I needed to go and buy a zipper.

So cute!
