Is Tomorrow Really It

All day long Thade has been bouncing around the house as I have been busy cleaning and packing for tomorrow. I look at the calendar and still can’t believe it, tomorrow Thade starts Preschool…

I am happy and sad all at the same time, but I’m putting on a happy smile even though I’m worried and I’ll miss him terribly. O.k., now I sound like a cry-baby, but it is hard when you realize that your sweet baby is now a big kid, and growing up so fast.

I hope that Thade has an amazing First Day at Preschool and I am looking forward to hearing about all of his new adventures, and his new friends too. I’ll be happy when he is back home though…

Labor Day Picnic

Yesterday Nana (my mom) was coming to visit. I had thought that it might be fun to go to the Park and have a picnic. It ended up being way too warm yesterday, so we opted for an Indoor-Picnic. We had a fun time, and the kids stayed nice and cool too.

I served PB&J’s on Homemade Bread, Chips & Dip, a little Veggie tray, and Chocolate Drop Cookies. I think the boy’s liked the Cookies the best.

Nana also brought a few surprises too, new school clothes for Thade and a few cute tops for me too. She also restocked all of the paper goods and brought me 24 lbs of Flour and 2 lbs of Yeast!! I was so thrilled and now I’ll never be short on baking supplies. Thanks again for everything Nana!

In the afternoon we went and visited my hubby at work, and we brought along Sonic drinks. It was still so warm outside, so we all appreciated the cool treats.

When James came home I continued the Indoor-Picnic theme, and made a mini-indoor BBQ. We had Angus Burgers and Tater Tots along with a few Chocolate Drop Cookies. All in all it was a very fun and relaxing Labor Day!
