One less place to pick up dinner

If you are like me, and you grew up in Southwest Missouri, then chances are that you ate at a Gringo’s, and became addicted to their super yummy dishes too. When my hubby and I moved to Kansas we had to leave our beloved Gringo’s behind. When we moved again, a Gringo’s was opened just a mere 20 minutes from our new house! Happily we ate there whenever we could, or picked up drive-thru anytime we got a chance. Thade even became obsessed with eating at Gringo’s too, I couldn’t be happier. All was well.

But just 2 short days ago, we were running errands, and going to stop off at Gringo’s to pick-up dinner, and there was a for sale sign out in front of our beloved restaurant. I’m still bummed about it, and I’m really missing their super yummy nachos. Gringo’s is still an hour away, so we’ll visit when we can. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed that maybe one day Gringo’s will head north and set up a shop in our town.

Errands Day

Finally the weather is perfect, so I didn’t mind running all over town today. We had to stop at the dentist’s office to get copies of x-rays, and then off to the new dentist’s office to drop off the x-rays, and pick up paperwork to be filled out. Thade and I then ran to the post office to mail some bills (yuck), and buy some more stamps. I seem to run out of stamps all the time, I should start buying them in bulk.

I think that is it for the errands today. I’m now doing a few loads of laundry, and trying to get enough energy to take the trash out. I’m so tired, a really long nap sounds like a good plan to me, but I don’t think that Thade will be getting sleepy any time soon.

Up way too early

This morning I woke up bright and early at 5:00 a.m., which is just too early. I should have taken advantage of the extra time and accomplished a task, but no I’ve been sitting on the couch flipping through channels. I did learn something though, between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. there is nothing at all on, and the news is so depressing.

Thade is still sleeping in, and I’m trying to rally enough energy to venture outside and run to Wally-World. Maybe I’ll get there a little later this afternoon.

A slow start

Today I can not get going. I slept in late, got breakfast for the boys at 10:00 a.m., I just can’t get going. I got a little bit of a start on my dishes last night, so I don’t have too many to do today. I also already have dinner planned, so it is going to be pretty easy, but I’m just so tired.

Thade wasn’t feeling too good yesterday, and Nana was here to help me around the house. She even stocked the pantry with much needed snack cakes, I just love it when she comes to visit. We worked on arranging Thade’s room, we put in a new t.v. stand, and it looks great.

I guess I’m going to jump in the shower, and hope that it wakes me up. I have got to get awake and going.

Its curtains for the old curtains

I’m finally finished with the new and improved living room curtains. Thank goodness! I’m so happy to have another project finished, and off my to do list. The curtains turned out great, and really changed the look of the room.

I still need to make curtains for the dining room, but luckily I already have the fabric picked out. Hopefully it won’t take me 11 months to get another sewing project finished.
