I’m so happy that I picked up the Bento kits, they have made a big difference at Dinner-time. Thade is a very picky eater, but he will give new foods a try if they are presented to him in the Bento. Last night he had Salmon Cakes, Salad with Croutons and Bacos, and Chocolate Sandwich Cookies, if he ate well.
He looked at the Salad, and asked what it was, that usually means he isn’t going to try it. He tried a bite, and actually liked it, in fact he ate about half of it 🙂 He also ate an entire Salmon Cake too! No complaints either, it was a Dinner-time Success!
If you have a picky eater like me, I highly recommend purchasing a Bento Kit, this one was definitely worth the price ($1.00 at the Dollar Tree). Last nights meal was one that Thade has had before, and it was also one that he has not wanted to eat before. This time when I presented the dinner in a different way, he happily finished a meal!
Yea for Thade! Sometimes a small investment can yield big rewards 🙂 Ellie
Thanks Ellie! I agree 😉
Awesome!!! What the heck is a bento? just curious!
Thanks Marva! Bento is a single portion “take out” meal usually found in Japanese cuisine. I’ve become obsessed with it, after reading about it in a few blogs. The little Bento boxes have made such a difference in Thade’s eating habits.
The traditional Bento meals have Rice, Fish or Meat, and Vegetables. I’ve been serving Thade the same meal that we are having only in a smaller portion in the Bento kit, and meal time is now more fun for him 🙂
