I was starving this morning, and staring at the fridge I saw nothing that I wanted for breakfast. I thought waffles might be good, so I peeked in to the freezer, and no waffles were to be found. I decided to dig out my waffle maker and give it a try. I got out my trusty red Betty Crocker cook book and found a quick and easy recipe for the batter.
Thade decided that he wanted to help out too, and kept himself busy stirring the dry ingredients. I cleaned up the waffle maker, and hoped for the best. This was my first attempt at making waffles from scratch, and they turned out so great. They were crispy, light, and much tastier than the frozen ones. I’m definitely taking the time and making these again. The recipe that I used made 12 waffles, and I have my freezer stocked for quick breakfasts.
