To Decorate or Not

I’ve been noticing Halloween decorations popping up in the stores, and all over town. I wonder if it is too early to start decorating? Part of me thinks that the First Day of October is a great day to start decorating for Halloween, but when I see itty bitty cute pumpkins, I just can’t wait!

When do you start decorating for the holidays? Do you start early or wait till the last minute?

On a side note: I’ve just returned from running the Morning errands, and Dollar General already has Christmas decorations out! So maybe its not too early to start decorating.

  1. Thanks Nana! Thade just loved the pumpkin pie sized pumpkins, so we picked out one for each of the boys. I picked up the itty bitty ones at the Farmer’s Market, they were just so cute and I think I paid $2.00 for 3 of them and one Butternut Squash, both were great deals 🙂

  2. Yes, decorate!! Fall is my favorite season and both my husband and I love Halloween!!! You are not alone, I started seeing those pumpkins, mums, etc and wondered if I should decorate now or 1st of Oct. Heather

  3. Will you take the kids to a pumpkin patch??? We take Jake every year and let him pick out a pumpkin, this year is Zack’s first! Can’t wait for that! Heather

  4. Thanks Heather! Halloween is my VERY favorite holiday, I still dress up even though I’m 28 😉 It is so much fun 🙂 Fall is by far the best time of the year, the weather is perfect, and the Fall colors are so pretty. Yep, I’m so in love with the Autumn season.

    Last year we took the boy’s to a Pumpkin Patch, and it was really cool. Thade ran around and picked out a little pumpkin, and Dylan was so tiny, I carried him in the Snugli. I don’t know if we’ll get to one this year, but we’ll see if Thade wants to go as Halloween gets a little closer. I hope that Jake and Zack have so much fun picking out their pumpkins, make sure and get plenty of pictures 🙂

  5. Thanks, I love getting their pics. There is a wooden cut out that you can stick the heads through and take the pic. Too cute! It’s too early to go yet, but I do look forward to it. Heather

  6. Thanks Heather! That sounds like so much fun! I hope that we’ll get to go again this year, I just wish the Pumpkin Patch was a little closer to our house, it is a 30 minute drive, and with gas prices, it really adds up.
