Last Sunday I was looking at the weekly weather predictions and they had the thermometer pointing only one way. It was looking like it was going to be miserably hot all week long.
The kids enjoyed a lazy Sunday afternoon.
It clouded up for just a bit, and I hoped we would get some rain.
Agnes has really enjoyed her newly arranged bedroom. She wants to be upstairs all the time.
Monday:
Monday was the coolest day of the week, so we ran all of the errands.
I made some homemade breadsticks for dinner.
Tuesday:
It was hot…
I decided to sew a little quilt. It is toddler sized, but the boys like it too.
The little ones felt like lounging all afternoon.
Wednesday:
It was another hot day…
The kitty found a good spot to nap for the afternoon.
In the afternoon I sewed a little tote. Agnes swiped it, and filled it with her books.
Thursday:
We woke up to an amazing and much needed thunderstorm.
We could have gone out and enjoyed the cool weather, but the boys decided to stay in their pj’s and watch Doctor Who until lunch-time.
By mid-afternoon it was to hot to do anything…
Thade worked on a comic book series that he is drawing.
I decided to tape-off and repaint the nook under the stairs.
I got the first coat of paint up on the walls after dinner.
Friday:
It was another hot day…
My Mother-in-law visited us in the morning, and we worked on the pool. The kiddos came outside for a bit too. We got the pool chores done before the temperature was too warm.
I decided to start another random project. I’m re-painting Agnes’ bedroom doors a dark purple. Purple is her favorite color this week.
Saturday:
As you’ve probably guessed it was another hundred degree day…
I got the second coat of paint finished in Agnes’ room.
I decided to paint a bit in our bedroom too.
The kitty has found a new favorite place to nap.
The puppy wasn’t too happy about having to go outdoors.
In the afternoon I made some Sweet Roll Dough.
James took the boys to see a movie, so Agnes and I got to hang out for a bit. It was nice and quiet.
It was a busy week even though we barely left the house. I’m really hoping for cooler weather next week.
