This Morning, I’m a Mess

picture-0105

It’s 6:45 a.m. and I can hear two giggling voices, I look at the clock and decide that it is way too early for me, and my wonky tummy. Then I hear, “hey Dylan, run into Mom and Dad’s room and yell Mom really loud!!!” At that point I decided that it is time to get up and wrangle the kiddos that are already running laps upstairs.

I get both of the boys dressed nicely for Church this morning, and we make our way downstairs to get some breakfast. I’m really not feeling that great, and today it must be showing. Thade looked at me and said…

Thade: eeww Mom, you look really bad… Are you morning sick again?

Icky Morning Mom(and I was): Yep, I’m not feeling too good today.

Thade: Poor Mom, I hope you get better, my sister is kicking your butt!

Icky Morning Mom: with a snicker, thanks Thade

I hope I can shape up by Church time, I am one big mess this morning.

  1. ahhh, that is so cute about baby sister is kicking your butt! Better write that in baby book!

  2. Thanks Mimi! It’s been a long day, and this little one is giving my tummy all kinds of trouble. The boy’s have been really good about mommy feeling so yucky though.

  3. Thanks Heather! Thade cracks me up… Even when I’m feeling super yucky, he can still make me laugh. I have had a lot of icky tummy days this time around, and my Doctor thinks that I will probably stay this way for the rest of my pregnancy. Some days are better than others.

  4. that’s too bad to hear. When are you due? We just celebrated the birth of my first nephew last week! Aiden was born while hubby and I were up visiting in-laws.hubby’s brother lives right there, so it was awesome we were there for it! I forget how little they are!

  5. Thanks Heather! Congratulations to you and your family too! That is just awesome 🙂 So far my date is November 6th, but with the c-section, I know it is going to change. I’m hoping for an October baby. The month of October is my favorite!

  6. Aw, Nico, I hope you’re feeling better today…my gosh, that morning sickness is really wearing out it’s welcome! Is it all day long for you?

  7. Thanks Susan! I agree, I’m sick of it 😉 The last few days I’ve been sick morning-noon-and all night, and it’s really exhausting me. I’ve got a check-up next week with my Doctor, so we’ll see what she says.
