Yesterday evening I started to feel a bit wonky. I gave the kids their bathes, and put them to bed a little bit early. By 9:00 p.m., I was miserable… I was freezing cold, but my eyes burned thanks to a high fever, my stomach was a wreck, and all I could hope for was sleep.
At 10:30 p.m. Dylan was up and crying, so James went in to get him back to sleep. At 11:00 p.m., Dylan was up and miserable, so I stumbled in to the boy’s room, and tried to get Dylan back to sleep. This continued on every 15-30 minutes until 4:30 a.m., when I finally gave up. I was so sick, I couldn’t even pick Dylan up.
Finally at 5:30 a.m. he was asleep, and I was up with Thade at 7:00 a.m. I still feel awful, but the boy’s are both doing well. I’m worried about my hubby though, he wasn’t feeling too good at lunch today. If I can muster up the strength, I need to get to the store and get Flu supplies, but I don’t think that it is going to happen. It looks like the Flu season made an early arrival to our house, grrrr.

I’m sorrry that you’re sick. I hope that you can get some rest over the weekend. My hubby was sick this week and is just feeling better today. There are some bad viruses going around already! I hope you can find someone to help out with the kids.

Thanks Ellie! I’m miserable, but the kiddos are doing fine. Thade has a bit of a cough, but Dylan (so far) hasn’t shown any signs of having the flu. Thanks again for the well wishes, and sending great big (non-flu) hugs your way!

Thanks Susan! I’m still sick today, but the kiddos are back to their happy-house destroying selves 😉 I feel like I kinda jinxed myself when I went to Walgreens and wondered if I should get a flu shot… the next day I came down with the flu, grrr. I hope that you are having a great weekend 🙂
Thanks Heather! James is doing better, and I’m still super sick. The kids are both doing well too, Thade still has a bit of a cough, but Dylan hasn’t shown any signs of being sick. I hope to be back to better soon, the dishes and laundry are piling up over here 😉
